Chapter 2537
Serenity and the rest in Wiltspoon were unaware of the drama unfolding at the Fishers in Jensburg.
However, Serenity knew about Belinda's visit to the Stone family.
She brought this up to Zachary when they were chatting at night. Serenity guessed Belinda had something up her sleeves for staying in Wiltspoon for half a month. Zachary reassured her. While she kept an eye on Belinda's whereabouts, he had also sent someone to tail her. Belinda would not be able to accomplish anything. Serenity had always believed in her man. Since Zachary told her not to worry, she could sleep in peace.
Luckily, her morning sickness only lasted for a short period. She once feared her morning sickness would persist throughout her pregnancy, like Alice.
However, Serenity would get sleepy easily. If Zachary did not wake her up, she could sleep the entire day.
The next day, Serenity opened her eyes. As usual, the first thing she saw was her husband.
Zachary said with a smile, "Good morning, honey."
He placed a kiss on her forehead.
Serenity closed her eyes and savored the gentle kiss.
After he was done, she opened her eyes and hugged his neck. She pecked his lips lightly and said, "Good morning, babe."
She asked, "What time is it?"
"I haven't looked at the time. It should be seven or eight."
Zachary sat up as he spoke. He took his phone that was placed on the bedside table. "Oh, it's already nine."
Serenity got up too. "I knew it wasn't that early anymore. I always wake up around this hour once I fall asleep. How can I sleep this much? Our baby must be a lazy one who loves to sleep." "That's impossible. Most women feel fatigued easily during their pregnancy. Don't blame my baby."
Zachary got out of bed to bring Serenity's clothes over.
When he delivered them to her, she said, "Babe, I think I smell something good. What are they preparing in the kitchen today? It smells fantastic. I can even smell it in the room."
Zachary smiled. "I woke up two hours earlier and prepared breakfast for you. I figured you were going to wake up soon and brought it up for you. You can eat it after washing up. It's still warm." "No wonder. I thought my sense of smell improved after getting pregnant."
"Your nose is pretty sensitive."
Zachary started combing Serenity's hair. After it was smooth and silky, he pinned her hair up with the clip he bought.
"Liberty and Duncan brought Sonny over."
Zachary dropped some good news.
Serenity was delighted. She asked, "Really? How did they have the time to visit? Doesn't Sonny have to go to preschool?"
"You've gotten confused from all the sleep. It's Saturday. They don't have to work or go to school.
"Liberty's restaurant is doing well. With the manager there, she can take a day off without a worry."
Serenity smiled. "I lost track of the days after I stopped working."
They were still on their marriage leave.
