Nick POV
No one knew what happened after Dylan left, but what we did know was that once the king and my friend had returned, she wasn’t the same.
She was nestled tightly in King Josh’s arms when he returned, blood coated her now too, her hollow cheeks were stained with tears and her puffy eyes were closed in what seemed to be an uncomfortable sleep. It was a sight I never ever thought I would see. It was this that made it official though… The king had killed Tina, Dylan’s mom.
“What happened?” Adrian asked his grace as he walked through the doorway and through the room we were all in.
“Nothing has happened, my queen has just realized that she is mine. We won’t be down for dinner, so you may all eat without us.” He didn’t utter another word as he carefully carried her out of the room and up the stairs to their room.
“Turn the news on…” Monroe my beta ordered one of the other wolves who had the projector close to them, instantly the news blasted out and had us all glued to the holographic projection of the king, Dylan was no where to be seen, but her screams could be heard as his grace entered my old house.
“That’s where you used to live isn’t it?” Arya asked me as she slid her hand into mine. I just nodded watching what we had missed. It was heart breaking, especially when she curled up into a ball just screaming at the world. I couldn’t believe she had shot him, and I couldn’t believe how truly broken she was.
What shocked me the most though was when every human watching got on their knee out of respect to Dylan, she didn’t notice it as her back was to everyone, but the king definitely did as a shocked gasp left his lips and anger clouded his face, he pulled Dylan off the floor while she still remained crying hysterically.
I watched closely as she screamed at him and hit him over and over again before falling to her knees and begging for death, god it broke me, and I felt tears begin to fall down my own face.
“I NEVER thought I’d see Dylan Riley ever act like that? Adrian was talking absentmindedly while watching Dylan completely break down on tv. At least it wasn’t live.
“Yeah, she even used to stand up to dad. Arya chimed in. They were simply shocked at the events I was crushed. She was always so stubborn and strong, I thought if anyone could survive this new world, it would have been her. Now I’m worried she’s going to do something really stupid.
“Perhaps this is a turn for the best, for the royal couple, a new found bond, we may just see a marking and a coronation this year after all. Dont forget, will be reporting the entire tour, so stick with us for the latest and greatest, and remember, we’re as regular as the moon changes… the news anchor quickly finished the tape while we all just stared at the wall where the hologram was…
“What should we do?” Erin asked as she looked to where the king had walked off with Dylan. “Me and Dylan don’t exactly see eye to eye, but he killed her mom. That’s just… as she was talking the kings envoy walked in, the one who was now beta, Oliver looked tired as if he had been sorting the repercussions out himself. While The new ganima, I think his name was Warren, seemed to just always look smug, as if his new title had completely gone to his head
Warren turned to Adrian and spoked directly to him, despite Arya being in the room too. They looked like they had urgent business to attend to, of course I suppose they did.
“Where is the alpha?” If he was talking to Adrian then he must mean the alpha of the pack right?
