“Do I look idle to you?” Keira rolled her eyes.

Rushing in and yelling out a barrage of words, Keira’s throat grew dry. Despite drinking some coffee, the thirst remained, so she motioned for the waiter and asked for warm water. 

Fatigue robbed her appetite after an extended period, leaving her slightly dizzy. 

“You’re lying!” Alice chuckled, wiping sweat from her temples. Playfully pretending to spit, she quipped, “Do you think you can fool me?” 

Keira was utterly dumbfounded. 

“Tell me, who are you?” Alice smiled as she squirmed in embarrassment. 

When she urged Keira not to leave the entertainment industry, her disappointment now mirrored the strength of her guard. 

While the entertainment industry might be just a fraction of Keira’s life, for Alice, it was her entire career and hope. 

“Alice, I know your ID number, bank card number, and even your bank card password. If you still don’t believe it’s me, I can transfer all your money to my account to prove it. Keira yapped and took another big sip of water. 

“Enough with the nonsense. Explain how you ended up in this situation. Even if I had left, you had numerous promising newcomers to mentor, Keira set her cup down. Her eyes resembled sharp swords, attempting to pierce Alice’s facade and discern her true thoughts. 

“How did you fall for such a contract?” Keira asked. 

“Half the time has already elapsed Alice averted her gaze, avoiding Keira’s probing eyes as if this could shield her embarrassment. “Once the contract expires, I can simply leave this industry.” 

Keira’s heart constricted and her throat closed as a helpless anger simmered in her. 

But she knew Alice’s pride too well. Keira found solace in believing this girl was inherently stubborn and wouldn’t linger on the past. 

Upon further reflection, Keira realized that she wouldn’t have to see Keziah’s hypocritical face daily 

since Keziah had signed with someone else. 

They were contending with Keziah’s constant clinging, which made putting in effort for a group debut increasingly troublesome. 

Keira chuckled lightly and said seductively, “Ally, we’ve come so far. Do you want to give up?” 

“What’s the point in not giving up? Keziah and Belinda control the company, and I can’t sign any other artists!” Alice’s voice remained calm. After many years of working in the company, her anger dissipated, leaving her helpless. 

If she had kept other artists working with her, there could have been a possibility to turn the situation around. Unfortunately, after her incident, all the other artists abandoned her, sensing that things were going downhill, and they went to work for other people. Meanwhile, Tom Hilton struggled to meet ends and needed help finding resources. 

“But you still have me!” Keira’s voice resonates with a newfound maturity compared to a few years ago, adorned with a hint of allure akin to the seductive melody of a sea siren. 

“Ally, would you be willing to accompany me until we reach the pinnacle, triumphing over all those who have humiliated you? Keira inquired. 

Keira’s words momentarily stunned Alice, leaving her surprised yet strangely clear–headed. “Kay, do you want to make a comeback? Is this not a joke!” 

Although Alice appreciated Keira’s support, she knew it was unlikely to be successful

Before Keira could reply. Alice offered a stark reminder, “Now, Keziah has become the top star among the new pop stars of Starzoid Agency. The wealthiest family of Omega City supports her, while Belinda holds an unassailable position in the company. You, on the other hand, are only connected to the Sunter family. So, what kind of benefits can you expect to receive as the daughter of the Sunter family?” 

“Kay, I don’t know why you suddenly vanished, but now that you’ve entered this tiger’s den, think twice about returning You’re a natural artist, but this industry demands more than just talent and skill.” 

Since aligning herself with Victor, Keira needed to be more informed about other aspects of the industry. However, Alice, entrenched in this circle, knew best about Keziah’s current influence. 

“The richest family in Omega City, the Sunter family?” Keira sneered. 

Worried that Keira might be out of the loop on recent entertainment developments, Alice swiftly added, “Indeed, she only revealed her identity as the sole daughter of the Sunter family in Omega City after signing with Belinda. Consequently, she receives favorable treatment from everyone in the industry, and the Sunter family has invested in numerous projects for 

her.” 

“During our debut as a singing and dancing group, she didn’t particularly excel in singing or dancing, leading her to transition into acting. She has portrayed several iconic roles and is emerging as a popular rising star 

Keira didn’t even bother to mock. She already knew when she saw Keziah being interviewed by the media on TV a few days ago. 

Known initially as Kelly Montaz, Keziah was the child brought into the family by her caring stepmother, Linda Payne. To instill a sense of belonging in her new home, her name was changed to Keziah Sunter. How did she acquire the confidence to market herself as the only daughter of the Sunter family? 

“Excellent! Truly excellent!” Keira beamed and emphatically set the cup in her hand on the table. It becomes more intriguing when the adversary is formidable.” 

“My team is currently in talks for ‘Our Dreams. If you’re open to it, I’ll cover the penalty for breaking your contract, and you can join me.” Anticipating Alice’s response, Keira’s tone exuded an irresistible assertiveness. 

As Alice hesitated, Keira took two steps forward, then turned back. “Alice, you’re a promising agent. Given the right opportunity, you can surpass those who humiliated you. Now, you have two options before you.” 

“Firstly, you can continue to drift aimlessly at Starzoid Agency and, when the contract expires, venture into an unfamiliar and unloved industry to start anew. The second option is to leave with me and persist as my agent. I promise to use every means to bring you back to the pinnacle” 

“Think wisely,” Keira turned and left. 

Previously, Keira had always presented herself as easygoing, even a bit naive. How did she transform into someone so decisive? She expressed the desire to make a comeback. She set her sights on this year’s top domestic talent show–an opportunity not easily secured, even for first–tier actresses like Keziah. 

The situation appeared highly suspicious, particularly in light of Keira’s earlier provocative remarks. To resurrect the career she had missed for many years and reclaim the pinnacle of success was her long–cherished dream. 

Determined to stand by Keira if she could enter the talent show, Alice committed to fighting alongside her. 

As a result, even before Keira left the coffee shop, Alice abruptly stood up from her seat. Tm coming with you!” 

Her voice resonated, cracking slightly in her excitement. “Consider the penalty as a loan from me to you. I’ll gradually repay you in the future.””
