Chapter 4 Goodbye Old Friend
Nino wants to follow him but as soon as she takes a step forward she then immediately stops.
Nino, what are you doing? Why has that man appeared here? Where I am now is A city, it’s a hundred thousand miles away from
the city S where he lives!
And so what if it is him? Could it be that you are really able to just disregard everything and go chase after him? You couldn’t do
this 4 years ago, and 4 years later it still is not possible to do.
Nino who seems to have lost her mind finishes filling up the kettle, and returns to ward from the water room, still feeling
completely out of her normal state of mind.
"Your fever seems to have gone down; do you still feel nauseous?"
As soon as Nino steps into the ward, a male who seems unreal is talking in a low pitched voice as light as water that bursts into
her ears.
Such a familiar tone of voice, like a mirage, makes her chest suddenly feel smothered, as if something had hit her there, and for
a moment she is unable to breath.
"I don’t feel nauseous anymore." On the bed Shaira who is smiling and seriously answering the doctor’s questions, looks over
towards the door and sees Nino, "Sis, what are you doing over there? Why are you not coming in?"
Yasin who is busy doing a physical examination with Shaira does not turn his head or his body, and focuses his gaze on Shaira,
"How about your head, do you feel dizzy?"
"A little bit." Shaira nods her head.
Noticing that Nino is still directly staring at the back of Yasin seemingly in a daze, Shaira in a jokingly way shouts at her, "Sis,
what are you doing? Why are you continuously staring at the doctor?"
Yasin still does not turn his head, until he hears the sound of Nino’s voice behind him, "Shaira, are you thirsty? I will pour you
some water."
Yasin seemingly is stunned for a second, but then he turns his head and as soon as he looks towards the door he sees Nino.
Their two eyes without warning suddenly collide, and his sharp black eyes make Nino stop breathing for a second. At that
moment, it seems that even the blood vessels within her body are being condensed into stone, and her heart is beating in a
constant loud rhythm, and just like a drum is madly beating and striking at the pit of her stomach.
She never once thought, that Yasin and herself would actually meet again one day.
Compared to the changeable state of her moods, on the contrary Yasin seems to be a lot calmer.
The look of astonishment passes through his deep eyes, and he soon recovers back to his original state.
In any case, her appearance here in this place to him is not special or climatic in any way.
Or in his mind, four years later Nino is nothing more than just a stranger with no special significance.
"You are a member of Shaira’s family?"
His deep voice resembles the deep harmonious sound of a cello, deep, beautiful, and soothing.
"Yes." Nino nods her head while the hands that are holding the kettle are trembling, "I am her older sister."
Yasin turns his head and body to continue doing the basic physical check up on Shaira, "The patient perhaps still needs to
remain in hospital for a few more days for observation, usually you need to look out for if she has nausea or feels like vomiting,
and if this is the case then immediately come find me."
"Ok, thank you."
Nino’s mood is still slightly unstable, she approaches the table next to the bed and pours her sister some water.
"Sis, he is the doctor I was talking about, the doctor in charge of me is Yasin!" Shaira keeps on winking at Nino.
Nino’s hand holding the kettle suddenly strays and hot boiling water spills out and splashes the back of her hand, causing her to
scream subconsciously.
At once, the back of her hand begins to burn with pain.
She hides her right hand instinctively behind her back, and continues to lower her head to pour the tea, but suddenly she feels a
cold touch while her hand is being grabbed.
It is Yasin.
Nino’s whole body is suddenly very tense, she instinctively wants to break free from his restraint, but finds that his strength is
making her unable to resist at all.
"The burns are not severe but some blisters have formed so just apply some burns ointment and you’ll be ok."
What just happened is probably just the doctor's instinctive reaction, because in the bottom of his deep eyes, Nino cannot see
the slightest concern or worry at all.
He still as before has this dull, light lukewarm attitude.
"Lynn, please go take Nino to get some burn ointment applied to her wound." Yasin releases her hand and turns his body while
giving instructions to the nurse next to him.
After he finishes speaking, he walks over to Shaira again, he approaches the end of her bed and takes the CT scan image of her
brain, while looking at the sunlight outside the window for a while.
The golden sunlight passes through the sycamore trees outside the window, the streams of light enter inside the ward, Yasin
stands within the streams of light, the angular features of his smooth face are revealed, and his dark and deep eyes are dotted
with fine sunlight. The fascinating features on his face are glowing from the light; the thick brows, the tall nose, and the thin lips
all show his nobility and elegance.
"Shaira, we are leaving now."
The nurse urges Nino to move.
"No worries." Nino refuses the nurse and laughs, "This no bother at all, I can take care of myself."
"There really is no problem at all."
Yasin who is next to the window looking at the CT scan image suddenly opens his mouth slightly. He puts the CT scan image
into a white plastic bag, and then says with no hesitation, "Slight burns are just a small matter, but if they are not dealt with
properly then the blisters will burst, a bacterial infection will develop in the wound and then the wound inflammation will cause the
body to become feverish, and if the high fever does not go away..." He then pauses for a moment, looking back at Nino, his eyes
fall on her face, "Think carefully, when that time comes I am afraid that a simple burn ointment cannot solve all these problems."
Nino purses her lips while looking at Yasin.
He is just using frightening words to scare me!
