Chapter 13 Just Like You Back then
She steps out of the elevator. Facing her is a spacious living room about a hundred square meters. On the floor of the living
room, the floor is covered with the finest brown Persian carpet from Italy. Beside her feet is a shoe cabinet of nearly five meters
long standing next to the door.
Nino quickly takes off her shoes and walks into the hall barefoot.
As she steps on the brown Persian carpet with both feet, the softness of the carpet scratches her feet. An inexplicable comfort
spreads from the soles of her feet to her whole body. Her tired body from a day of hard work feels a lot more relaxed because of
it.
Nino looks around. His entire house is decorated in a luxurious, ancient European style. There is a set of the same brown
European-style leather sofa and a set of finely carved rosewood coffee table in the middle. There is a European-style candle
holder on the coffee table as well as wine rack with a bottle of 82-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon.
Undoubtedly, Yasin comes from a famous family. His father is the mayor of City S, and his mother is the daughter of the Wen
Group and now the only head.
Furthermore, the accessories in every corner of his house are expensive, ranging from tens of thousands to a few hundred
thousand.
Standing in the huge hall, for the second time, Nino feels that Yasin’s and her worlds are extremely different. And the first time
she felt this way is four years ago.
Nino doesn’t dare visit his other rooms anymore. She just sits obediently on the sofa and waits.
As time passed by, the quartz clock ticked on the wall. She was very bored and only kept turning over the design materials in her
hands.
After an hour, she really can’t sit still.
Seeing the night sky gradually arrive outside the window, she becomes a little fidgety.
Just as she debates whether or not to leave, the elevator door suddenly opens with a "ding", and she sees Yasin walk in from the
outside.
When he sees Nino sitting on the sofa, he seems to be in a trance for a second.
He puts the car key on the coffee table and asks Nino. "Have you waited for a long time?"
"Yeah." Nino nods. "I thought the address you gave me was the address of your new house."
Yasin ignores her, walks to the open kitchen, opens the refrigerator, and takes out a bottle of cold drink. After a few sips, he looks
back at Nino, who is following him. "If you knew it wasn’t the address of the new house, you wouldn’t have come?"
Nino is silent.
Silence means acquiescence.
Yasin turns around and twitches the corner of his mouth coldly. "Are you afraid I would bite you?"
In the end, he chuckles. "Don't worry, I’m not like before. My taste is a lot milder."
So, is this guy being indirectly sarcastic and saying that she is the extreme type?
Nino puts on an impeccable smile. "That's good, I was worried that the silly things I did four years ago when I was young and
ignorant would bother Mr. Jing. But now it seems that I worried too much."
Yasin’s handsome face instantly becomes gloomy, and his eyes fall on Nino’s masked smile. "Nino, so you provoked me four
years ago just because you were young and ignorant?"
He asks her lightly in a tone that is too calm, but it is like a prelude to a storm.
Nino takes a deep breath without a trace and nods after a while. "I think so."
"Because I was young and ignorant, I didn't have a thorough view of reality.
Because I was young and ignorant, I didn’t have an accurate estimate of the distance between them."
Yasin suddenly laughs. "Sure enough, your sister is much cuter than you."
Speaking of her sister, Nino is taken aback for a moment, and then she is on alert. "My sister? Have you met her recently?"
Yasin's slender black eyes narrow dangerously and stare at her condescendingly. "Nino, what are you afraid of? Are you afraid
that I will fall in love with your sister or are you afraid that I...will do it with her?"
"You..."
Nino's face turns pale.
"You wouldn't do this." Suddenly, Nino calms down.
There is certainty in her words. Because the Yasin she knows is definitely not such a person.
"Why do you think I won't do it?" Yasin sneers. "She, Shaira Yin, is like the young and ignorant Nino from back then, like a
follower, chasing after me every day..."
When he says these words, there seems to be warmth passing through his deep eyes.
However, it only passes through and disappears soon after.
In the end, he looks at her. The warmth disappeared a long time ago and is replaced by coldness. "Back then, Yasin fell in love
with that young and ignorant Nino, and...not only love, but also did it with her!" She hears him speak calmly.
After speaking, he smiles coldly. "So, Nino, don't be so sure about your words, your sister is more persistent, cuter, more youthful
and beautiful than you from back then. For something that even I am not sure about, why are you so sure?!"
His words make Nino frown. "Didn't you say you have a girlfriend?"
"A fiancée, technically." Yasin corrects her.
Nino's face is pale. "If that’s the case, why can't you let Shaira go?"
"It was she who didn't let me go, just like how you provoked me so tirelessly back then." Yasin finally loses patience.
