CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1405

"Wishing you both happiness," the clerk said, swiftly completing the paperwork to cancel their divorce.

As they walked out, Quincy held their marriage certificate, feeling the significance of the moment down to his core.

"Lydia, let's go on a second honeymoon," he said, wrapping his arm around her waist. "How about the Maldives this time?"

"And what about a wedding?" Lydia asked, looking up at him with a warm smile.

Their eyes met, and both felt a sweetness fill their hearts. Their first wedding had left regrets due to their parents' disapproval. Although Quincy's parents still hadn't come around, Lydia's were now supportive, and she was carrying their new baby.

"Oh, Quincy, I had a dream last night," Lydia said, a little uncertain. "In it, a little boy called me 'Mom.""

She didn't know if the dream held any truth, but seeing such a sweet child felt like a good omen.

"He even said he'd bring his little sister along to find me."

"Could it be twins? A boy and a girl?" Quincy's face lit up.

Whether a boy or a girl, he would be overjoyed. He only wanted this one child. He didn't want Lydia to go through the pain of pregnancy and childbirth again. Besides, he already had a vasectomy. Whether they became a family of three or four, he felt their life together was already perfect.

"We'll find out as the pregnancy progresses," Lydia said, her expression tender as she thought of the baby. This child was precious beyond words, her true treasure, eagerly awaited by her parents as well.

"Oh, Quincy..." Lydia hesitated for a moment. "Since we canceled the divorce and plan to move forward together, should we tell your parents?"

She was torn. If they told them, she

worried his mother might try something disruptive. But keeping t a secret also didn't sit right. After all, they were his parents, and cutting them off forever wasn't realistic.

Before Quincy could respond, his phone rang. It was Mabel, sounding frantic and tearful. "Quincy, get to

the hospital right away! Aunt iemet

collapsed. She's in the operating room, and the doctor says it's really bad. She might not make it."

"Is it that serious?" Quincy was doubtful.

It wasn't that he didn't care about his mother, but after everything she had done, his trust had been completely eroded. He couldn't help but wonder if it was an exaggerated attempt to lure him back.

Mabel's sobs grew more intense. "It's real, I swear! I saw her collapse with my own eyes. If I'm lying, then may I fail every course and never graduate!"

For a college student, that was as serious an oath as it got.

Quincy didn't respond immediately.

Assuming he was still angry and unwilling to come, Mabel pleaded desperately. "I know Aunt did terrible things, and I did too. You can yelkat us all you want after the surgery, but please, just come to sign the forms. Uncle's out of town on business, and you're the only one left."

If Quincy refused to come and Mrs. Perez didn't make it through surgery, he would miss any chance to see her one last time.
