Caught In His Embrace: A Second Chance Romance

Chapter 105

The air was thick with tension, and Sienna feared the situation might escalate into a fight.

“You’re asking for trouble.” As expected, the next moment, Josiah swing his arm with full force and struck Cedric

The blow was so powerful that it knocked Cedric to the ground,

“Cedric Sienna was terrified, a mix of anger and panic flooding her.

But neither of the men paid any attention to her. Cedric quickly scrambled to his feet and immediately raised his arm, landing a punch straight at Josiah.

Bang! With his back to her, she couldn’t see exactly where it landed, and frankly, she didn’t care.

The two men continued exchanging punches and kicks, each trying to land a hit. Sienna’s heart raced as she watched Cedric, worried he might get hurt.

Although she didn’t know how to fight, it was clear that Cedric was gradually losing ground.

With a grunt. Cedric’s back hit the ground, Josiah pinning him down with all his weight.

“Trying to steal from me?” Josiah’s eyes were wild with rage, his gaze twisted in a manic, almost deranged fury.

“Looking to die!” he added.

This was a side of Josiah Sienna had never seen before. The moment his fist raised again, Sienna feared he might actually kill Cedric.

“Stop!” Even though she was scared, Sienna rushed forward and threw herself in front of Cedric

Josiah’s fist was suspended in midair, trembling as he held himself back at the last second.

“Move.” His voice was low and gritted, the words barely escaping through his clenched teeth.

“No.” Sienna spun around, glaring at him with fury in her eyes. won’t move.”

“I don’t want to be with you. I like Cedric. If you’re going to kill me, then go ahead, she roared.

“Sienna?” Josiah was stunned. Does she really like Cedric this much? Is she willing to risk her life for him?‘ he wondered

Josiah’s breath caught in his throat. Even back when she used to follow him around like a shadow, it never felt this intense.

“And what about me?” Josiah’s voice trembled, not wanting to accept the truth. “Did you never think about me during all this time?”

“Yes. That’s right. Sienna didn’t hesitate for even a second, her answer cold and firm.

Josiah froze, like a statue, completely stunned by her response.

“Cedric?” Sienna ignored him and turned her attention back to Cedric, trying to help him up and check for injuries. “Are you okay?”

“It’s fine, hiss…” Cedric shook his head but winced, sucking in a sharp breath.

“Fine? Does this look fine to you?” Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth, and his jaw was bruised. That was just what she could see. What about the parts she couldn’t?

“Come on. Get up” She supported him.

“Alright.” Cedric grabbed her arm, slowly pulling himself up. “Ugh… Suddenly, he pressed his hand to his stomach.

“What’s wrong?” Sienna’s face froze with worry. “Did you hurt your stomach?”

Cedric shook his head. He’d definitely taken a punch to the stomach, but it didn’t seem serious. “It’s nothing”

“It’s nothing?” Sienna felt like she might lose it. This was all because of her. Cedric wouldn’t be in this state if it weren’t for

her.

She mumbled softly, “I’m sorry”

“Sienna, no… Cedric murmured.

Sienna held his arm to support him. “Let’s go. You need to see a doctor.”

“It’s really fine. It’s not serious,” he said.

“It is serious. Sienna insisted, but when she turned around, she saw Josiah standing there, blocking their way like a wall.

“Move. She didn’t even look at him, her voice cold.

Josiah stood frozen as if someone had hit him in the back of the head with a blunt object. He just stood there, motionless. “Not going to move!” Sienna sneered, a cruel smile tugging at her lips. “Mr. Flynn, you’re quite something. Using your family’s power to do whatever you want.”

She lifted her chin and stared into his eyes. “Fine. Then today, you can deal with me too.”

As she spoke, Sienna closed her eyes, still holding onto Cedric. As long as you don’t kill us, Cedric and I will always be together. We won’t be separated”

“Sienna. Cedric’s mind raced, forgetting the pain in his body.

Josiah, Sienna is right. If you still want to fight, I’ll stand by her Sienna and I love each other, and the only thing that can tear us apart is death,” said Cedric

At that moment, it was as if a string in Josiah’s mind snapped. All the strength drained out of him, leaving him empty. They stood there like a perfect couple, and he seemed to be a stranger.

The more angry he got, the more it highlighted the unwavering loyalty between them. What he had been doing all this time seemed nothing. To Sienna, he wasn’t even a backup plan.

Josiah snorted softly to himself. At this point, he looked so laughable.

Fine. Fine, he wondered. Josiah took two steps back, making a gesture that seemed almost like an invitation. He’d let go, this time, for good.

Sienna’s eyes flickered, and she tightened her hold on Cedric’s arm. “Let’s go.”

“Yeah, okay.” The two of them quickened their pace, walking away.

“Sienna Josiah’s gaze burned into her back, a flame of frustration rising in his chest. He couldn’t hold back any longer and called out to her.

Sienna’s body stiffened, but she didn’t turn around. She kept walking.

“I’ll ask you one last time. “Josial’s voice was expressionless, his eyes fixed on her slender back. “What you said tonight was it all true? Do you really like Cedric?”

“Really Sienna didn’t hesitate, giving him a firm answer.

She knew that if she hesitated for even a second, everything that had happened tonight would have been for nothing. “I like

Cedric

She glanced at Cedric, holding onto him, and walked away without looking back.

Behind her, Josiah stood frozen, his mouth slightly open. He tilted his chin, his ernotions unreadable. It was a half–smile, half–frown, but the most intense feeling he had was sorrow.

All his emotions were tied up in a knot. “What is this?”

Josiah lifted his hand, angrily tearing off his tie. His fingers brushed his jaw, and the pain made him grit his teeth.

The sorrow only deepened. He hadn’t just hurt Cedric, and Cedric had hurt him too.

Yet, in Sienna’s eyes, there was only Cedric. She didn’t see him at all.

“How long has she known Cedric? How could she have fallen for him so easily? Does she even know him? Does she know how unreliable he is? he wondered as he roared inwardly.

She had fallen headfirst, without thinking.

Sienna. Don’t let me catch you crying when you turn around,” he called out.

Returning to the car, he noticed a bag sitting in the passenger seat. That was the hawthorn candy he had bought for Sienna. She hadn’t taken it with her.

Of course, she doesn’t care about me. Why would she care about the things I bought for her? If she doesn’t want them, why! keep them? he thought.

Josiah grabbed the paper bag and threw it into the trash with a swift motion. Just like that, his feelings for her, everything, were reduced to nothing more than garbage in her eyes.

He

ed his foot on the accelerator, and the car sped off. As he passed the intersection at Lyceum Street, he saw Sienna

into Cedric’s car.
