Captivation: Want Nothing But You

She embraced her, and stared at his dear Joey.

Earlier, she wanted to reprimand him, but now that he was in her arms, she no Longer wanted to do it.

She noticed that the boy had lost some weight, and she felt very sorry for him.

“Did you get hurt?” Rachel noticed that there was blood on his clothes, but clearly, the blood wasn’t his.

Joey paused for a moment upon hearing the question.

“No,” he said.

He thought that his mother would be angry with him, so he hugged her at once.

But to his pleasant surprise, she didn’t get mad.

And now, he just felt guilty.

He felt guilty because his willfulness forced his mother to take a big risk just to come see him.

He felt bad when he thought of what happened today, and he also felt aggrieved because of what had happened these past days.

“I’m glad you’re not hurt.” Rachel couldn’t bear to get mad at her poor boy anymore.

“I’LL be taking you home now.”

Having said that, Rachel was about to take his hand, but he hid his hand behind his back.

Judging from her tone, she was obviously displeased.

Seeing that she had not said anything, Joey’s heart raced.

He thought she was getting angry.

“Can I stay here for a few days more?”

“Why?” Rachel asked straight and remained calm.

She already had a vague guess on why Joey was adamant about spending more time here.

Her eyes fell on the dried bloodstains on his clothes.

Joey lowered his head and clasped his hands together on his stomach.

He then only stared at his toes without responding to her.

“Joe, you…” Rachel was almost certain after seeing his reaction.

She knelt down and stared at him.

After a brief pause, she asked the thing that worried her the most.

“Don’t tell me you want to stay with him?”
