Brothers Want Me Back

Chapter 158

Chapter 158

Tracy spoke with an expectant look on her face, and so dul Ella.

Except for Bianca's cella lessons, she hired a master to accompany Bianca that year and teach her about chess one-on-one, all to pave the way for her future. To her great relief, Bianca had always been very competitive as well.

I was as if she would believe anything Bianca said, and Bianca must have given in to Elaine. After all, her daughter Bianca was so kind

Tucker and Shawn both glanced at Bianca when they heard Tracy say that, their expressions a little more meaningful.

They

wondered how Bianca would answer.

Was she really the one who had let Elaine win at chess on the variety show they thought

Obviously, that seemed impossible.

Although they didn't know Elaine particularly well, the fact that she was the boss behind the entertainment company and president of the Cello Association made it clear to them that Elaine was far superior to Bianca, whom they considered merely "a pretty face":

Shawn couldn't understand how they had ever been fooled by Bianca.

Was it because of that prophecy? Or her tender tears? Shawn thought

Thinking back now, it seemed ridiculous

Even their mom, dad, and grandma, still blinded by Bianca, couldn't see the real pearl.

Bianca's face remained emotionless, and she replied to Tracy, "Mom, that's all in the past. Why bring it up now!

She wanted to say that she had let Elaine win on purpose, but feared Tucker and Shawn would expose her and embarrass her in front of everyone.

Tracy muttered, "I just think there's no way you could've lost. There must be a hidden agenda, that's all. Tell me, and I'll bring fair back to you."

Ella, interrupting with irritation, snapped, "What are you talking about? Isn't it obvious that the daughter of the Yeats family would not lose to a child raised by an old scavenger? Bianca is generous, she doesn't care about these little things. Unlike Elaine, who's always fighting, constantly competing, and targeting Blanca over the smallest issues. She's just lucky to have won at chess."

Tracy nodded and agreed

with

Ella, "You're right"

At this point, Bianca suddenly felt a twinge of nervousness and couldn't bring herself to look at Tucker and Shawn. She feared seeing their smirking rynicism, afraid to hear Tucker's sarcasm and ridicule.

Blanca let out a silent breath of relief when Ella and Tracy's words seemed to settle, and Tucker made no move to challenge them

Just as her smile began to stretch, she heard Shawn's voice, "I don't think it's necessarily as simple as you're making it out to be"

Bianca never thought that this time it wasn't Tucker exposing her, but Shawn, the one she had always respected the most

Panic flared up inside her, and she subconsciously bit her lip

"Mom, Grandma, do you know what I discovered when I went to Elaine's wedding Elaine is actually the president of the Cello Association. Mr. Craig and Mr. Yates were both there." Shawn said.

As soon as Shawn's words landed, everyone in the room, except for him and Tucker, wore shocked expressions.

Everyone knew that Bianca's greatest strength was the cello,

And yet, Elaine had beaten her to the position of president of the Cello Association, which made Bianca a complete joke!

Tracy looked struck, and she asked, "Is that truck

"Of course it's true," Shawn replied. "Mom, if you don't believe me, ask Mr. Craig. Or just ask anyone who was at the engagement party. They'll tell

you it's true"

"How is that possible? Tracy sank onto the couch, disbelief evident on her face.

She had never believed that Elaine could be such a brilliam child, especially after being raised by a scavenger.

But now, her own son was telling her that Elaine, the biological daughter she had always neglected, was the president of the Cello Association someone with rank and status. Not only was she a better cellist than Bianca, but she was also directly recognized by the nation's upper echelons. That was the highest honor.

Bianca, the child they had so carefully cultivated, couldn't compare

Tracy, usually so proud, seemed to lose her composure in that moment.

Shawn's eyes darkened as he saw his mother falter.

He pressed on. "So, it doesn't seem so impossible that Elaine could've beaten Bianca at chess, does it? Grandma's claim that it was a fluke is pretty far-fetched. It sounds more like you're just trying to make yourself feel better."

Ella, now thoroughly irritated by Shawn, turned a deeper shade of red.

Harlan added. This is true. We were all there, and we heard it ourselves,"

Harlan, too, was surprised by the revelation of his sister's true nature.

He'd only just realized how little he really knew about her, and his opinion of Elaine had shifted drastically.

The room fell silent as everyone of the Yeats family processed the news.

Bianca felt a wave of shame wash over her as she realized her carefully crafted disguise was unraveling She didn't understand why Shawn was doing this.

"Enough!" Ella suddenly shouted, trying to regain control of the situation. "It's just the president of the Cello Association. What did I expect? No matter what she has, Bianca has it all. Even the things she doesn't have. Bianca still has. So, what's the big deal?"

Ella Yeats shouted angrily, bringing the Yeats family people who were doubting their lives back to their

senses.

Ella glared at Tracy, noticing her drooping expression. Disgust swelled within her.

Is that all it takes to rattle her? What's so special about Elaine playing the cello or chess? My precious granddaughter Bianca has so many honorable identities, and she's even been foretold to have a noble destiny. She'll definitely rise to greatness. She doesn't need to compare herself with Elaine. Just wait and see! Ella thought.

Tracy, seeing that Ella was on Bianca's side, felt a pang of unease when she thought of Elaine. Elaine was her biological daughter, while Bianca was adopted. In terms of blood relation, she found it hard to part with Elaine. Yet, hearing Ella's words made her want to believe that Bianca was still superior to Elaine.

Shawn saw that his mother and grandmother were still lost in their own delusions and didn't bother trying to change their minds..

Robert had remained silent throughout the conversation, his thoughts focused only on waiting for Elaine to come back and behave herself.

"Grandma" Bianca looked up at Ella with gratitude in her eyes and jumped into her arms. "You're so kind."

Ella patted her back. "Oh, my sweet granddaughter.

Tucker and Shawn, unable to stomach the scene, turned and walked upstairs.

Trevon, in the comer, was messaging Elaine [Elaine, if you're the president of the Cello Association, why didn't you say something sooner! If you

in the had, maybe the family wouldn't have been so nasty to you-especially mom, dad, and grandma." Although he hadn't been friends with Elaine on WhatsApp, they both shared a group chat for their variety show.
