Boss,I'm Not Your Stand-in Gilrfriend

Chapter 15 Sell the Ring

Thinking of the ring that Gavin gave, I felt a sense of hope.

But then I slapped myself in my heart. After all, the ring was not mine. I couldn't dispose it as I please, whether Gavin wanted me to or not. Otherwise what kind of person was I? How should I promote the morale of returning lost money of socialism.

I made fun of myself. But I still had to face the problems. Thinking it time and time again, I really could not find a solution. I had no choice but to sell the ring. As for let Gavin regret, I could not afford to think about it now.

Because the ring was so valuable, I went all the way to the jeweler's after work to ask the price.

The owner of the jewelry store looked at me with strange eyes because of my plain clothes. She put down a necklace and said, "Would you mind waiting a moment? This thing is too expensive. I will take it inside for further inspection. Sorry to keep you waiting."

I was flattered that the boss treated me so politely. I sat down on a chair and waited for her to come out. "My boss likes your necklace. She wants to meet you to discuss the price."

I hadn't thought much about it. In my opinion, one should be more careful with such a valuable object, so I got up and followed the shopkeeper inside.

As soon as I walked in the door, I saw a young woman sitting in the corner of the sofa, reading a magazine and waiting. Though I could not see her face, I found the luxurious beauty exuded all over her body. When she heard the voice and looked up, I was taken aback. She was Salome!

She was more beautiful than her picture on the internet. Even I, a girl, felt a little crushed by her looks. But I reacted quickly and gave her a slight nod.

Salome looked at me and said, "Please take a seat, Miss. What is your name please?"

I sat opposite a rich woman whose every ornaments on her body seemed to worth a great deal. And I was like a yokel who was immediately inferior compared to her.

I sat down awkwardly and said, "It is nice to see you Miss. Roberts."

Salome didn't pay much attention to me, but after I sat down, she suddenly looked me up and down, one of her eyebrows raised. I felt suddenly annoyed. Rich people's temper was unloathing. Salome also seemed to realize that it was very inappropriate to stare at me. She immediately raised her head, looked me in the eye, and said, "Excuse me, Miss. Back......"

I nodded at her and couldn't say a word.

Salome said, "Let me be frank. I am very interested in the object you have brought here. Name your price and I will not bargain."

"Miss Roberts, you have seen more of these jewels than I, so you obviously know how much it cost. If you really want it, offer your price, I would not haggle."

Hearing this, Salome suddenly narrowed her eyes and looked at me with danger in her eyes. "Then, Miss Back, may I ask where did you get this? Did you get it from a legal dealer?" She asked.

I said, Miss. Roberts, do not worry about it. This thing is absolutely clean and won't get you into any trouble."

She snorted suddenly and said, "I gave you a chance to tell the truth. Actually, I am aware of it, I just wanted you to tell me first. This ring was bought by my ex-boyfriend, but I gave it back to him out of anger. How did it get into your hands? You must have either stolen it! Be honest!"

As soon as Salome had finished speaking, four bodyguards dressed in black rushed out and held me without any explanation: "She does not need to prepare so many people. I don't even have the strength to knock down even one of them."

Salome led me into the car, and I didn't know where she was going to take me. She said, "Miss Back, I am sorry I offended you. I will not let you go until you tell me the truth."
