Brendan's face fell, and Naomi immediately laughed. "Are you still angry? Didn't I promise to let you do it

again tonight?"

"Not interested." Brendan stubbornly refused.

Naomi walked around the desk and sat on the armrest of his chair.

*Jason told me that the higher ups approached you about the project in South Glistenville, and didn't

agree.

"If you had told me about it earlier, I wouldn't have pulled that stunt last night. I would have actually let you do it." Brendan laughed. He didn't believe her.

He removed her hand from his shoulder and said coldly, "Take your hand off."

Naomi chuckled. "You're really mad! Should I give you a shot now?"

She teased Brendan, who turned to her. "Talk while you can, Naomi."

Naomi's face had turned as red as a tomato after just the slightest touch last night.

Her confidence right now stemmed from the fact that she knew he wouldn't touch her in the office.

Brendan didn't take the bait. Naomi sat on the armrest of his chair,

"I even need to sign the document allowing the cleaning department to buy a mop. Brendan, do you have no shame? If you really want to keep me here and have me work for Ludwig Corporation, the pay is far from enough."

Brendan finally turned to Naomi when he heard the work-related questions.

"You're always dealing with divorces or petty matters. Do those cases interest you that much?"

If it hadn't been for Ludwig Corporation, she wouldn't have had a single noteworthy case to her name.

Naomi shrugged. "Your words show that you don't understand the hardships of life."

Brendan sighed. "If you don't want to work at your family's company, you can work for Ludwig Corporation instead. You can pick whichever position you like."

Naomi had nagged him for keeping Chloe in the company. But he had merely done so at someone else's

request.

If Naomi didn't believe him, she could come over and keep an eye on him herself.

Naomi's smile grew at Brendan's words. "Brendan, it seems you have fallen for my

charms!"

"Brendan." Just as Naomi finished speaking, the office door suddenly pushed open, and Chloe came in joyfully with a lunch box in hand. Chapter 102

She paused when she saw Naomi sitting on Brendan's chair.

After the initial surprise, she quickly regained her composure and said with a smile, "Hello, Naomi."

Naomi hummed indifferently at Chloe, remaining on Brendan's chair. She didn't have a shift of mood or get up in disgust at Chloe's arrival.

If anything, she continued leaning against Brendan with an arm around his shoulder.

Naomi's calm demeanor made Chloe appear even more petty.

Knowing that Naomi didn't like her bringing lunch for Brendan, Chloe hurriedly explained, "The lunch is from the company canteen. You haven't eaten yet, right, Naomi? I'll go get one for you." Naomi smiled. "Sure! Thank you, Ms. Yates."

Chloe quickly put down the lunch she had brought and went to get one for Naomi. She left right after she

delivered Naomi's lunch.

As Chloe left, she glanced back at the office.

She also wanted to be as confident as Naomi, but unfortunately, she didn't have that self-assurance.

Back in the office, after Chloe left, Naomi stood up and walked to the table. She opened the lunch boxes. for herself and Brendan.

Brendan walked over and looked at her expressionlessly. "How can you eat so peacefully? Aren't your afraid she'll polson you?"
