BloodRed

Chapter Life

He changed and launched himself at me. I had expected this so I stepped sideways and he missed. I punched him in his side and he flew into a tree. Vampire strength is cool! Though I will admit I hadn’t meant to make him go flying. Oh, well. I kicked him before he stood and hear his spine snap. To press my advantage I picked him up and threw him. He hit the wall with a crack! He stood and launched again. I was out of the way before he landed. I laughed. “I’m a vampire, remember? I’m fast and strong.” Then without waiting I grabbed him and folded him in half. Then broke his neck and clit his throat just to make sure he stayed dead. I wasn’t going to take any chances of him coming back to life.

I looked at the surrounding wolves. “Justin will be your leader. Any who don’t like it will deal with me.” So I ended up killing all of Tono’s followers because they refused to follow Justin. Some of the I drank but that was only because I had needed blood so I could keep going. I wouldn’t have needed to if they had stopped attacking after I kill the first four. I looked at the rest of the pack. “Anyone else?”

All the wolves went and stood behind Justin. “The Werewolf and Vampire Alliance will be up for eternity,” Justin announced.

I grinned as Mika flung herself at Robin and they started kissing. Gwin grabbed her daughter and hugged her tightly. Quin shifted and howled which made all the wolves copy him. Jem looked at me and then kissed me. It was finally over.

My parents came home three weeks later. I introduced everyone and Mika, Robin, and Jem all ended up moving in. But that was only because my parents absolutely loved them. Personally, I think my parents liked them because I finally had friends my own age like they always wanted me to have. The wolves decided to go and live at the house used to have them live at.

Justin told me Tono had trashed the place. So they had a lot of cleaning and fixing to do. We decided the Alliance should be renamed so we called it BloodRed. We called it this because no matter what happens blood is always spilled. Besides. The name was free because the club was so boring that it got closed down. Mika and I both agreed that it was for the best. Robin said the club had been fun. He ended up getting dark looks from me and Mika for a week after that. Robin hasn’t turned anyone against their will. A couple of people wanted to though so he turned them.

Justin married Maria and he told her about the supernatural. She asked him to turn her into a werewolf and, after asking our opinion, he did it. It took her a while to get used to being the wife of an Alpha but she got it. She ditched her old friends too.

I sat next to Jem on the couch. “Hey,” I said.

He smiled. “Hey.”

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Are you?”

“Yup.”

“How did telling your parents go?”

I smiled. “We are free to marry.”

He kissed me. “Good.”

“I told them I’m a vampire. I wanted to see if they wanted to turn so they could stay with me for eternity. They said no so I erased their memories so they didn’t tell anyone about it.”

“Ah. So you’ll end up watching them…”

“Die? I know.” I blink several times, fighting back the tears. I was not going to cry at the moment.

He hugged me. “Mika, Robin, and I will help you through it.”

“I know. It just hurts to think about their deaths. It also hurts knowing that I will have to live without the for eternity.”

He nuzzled me. “I know. It bothered us too. I will always be there for you. So will the others. I love you. You know that, right?”

“I do.” I kissed him. “I love you too. Though I will say that I don’t really need protection.”

He laughed. “I think you proved that. Several times.”

I snickered. “The whole pack is scared of me.”

“Well, you did kill a whole bunch of wolves in front of them.”

I shrugged. “I wanted them to understand that if they went rogue they will have to deal with me.”

He snorted. “I think the message was delivered successfully. To all of us.”

I grinned. “Good.”

We got married a month later and Mika was right. We do kiss all the time. In front of people and alone.

“I told you so,” Mika said as she sat next to me on the porch.

I rolled my eyes. “Had to point it out, huh?” Not that I blame her. I would have done the same thing.

“Oh, of course!”

“Worst friend ever.”

“Oh, come on. You know you love being friends with me.”

“Do I? Hmm.”

“You do. Don’t pretend you don’t.”

I laughed. “Yeah, I do. Us girls will stick together forever.”

“Damn right, we will. I will not spend another three hundred years surrounded by boys.”

“You’re married to one!”

“So are you!”

I grinned. “Yup. Married at eighteen.” Well, I’m stuck at eighteen but whatever.

She snorted. “I was seventeen when I was turned. Robin was nineteen. Jem’s eighteen too.”

I smiled. “I know. I’m sorry about Brad turning you.”

She waved her hand dismissively. “If he hadn’t, we wouldn’t have met you.”

I rolled my eyes. “Not really something to be proud of, Mika.”

“Bullshit. I’m glad we met you.” She sighed. “Jem was the one my parents- were trying to get me to marry. I didn’t love him and he didn’t love me. His parents hated him since he had been born. They had only wanted daughters. They wanted him to marry so he would leave.

“But he wanted to marry someone he loved like I did. Finding you was the best thing that could have happened.”

I blinked. “You were supposed to marry Jem?

“Yes. We wouldn’t have found the loves of our lives without becoming vampires.”

I nodded. “I see. What happened to Robin’s parents?” What? If she was going to tell me about their pasts then I should know about Robin, right?

“They had abandoned him. Someone found him in a garbage can and took him to the closest orphanage. No one took him in so that’s where he grew up.” She smiled. “There. Now you know about all of our pasts.”

Jem and Robin came and sat with us. “I hope you don’t feel differently about us after hearing that,” Robin said.

I snorted. “Never. You guys will be my family for eternity. So you won’t get rid of me.” I raised an eyebrow. “Were you hoping for a different answer?”

“Nope.”

I grinned. “You are all stuck with me.”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Jem said.

“Neither would I,” Mika said.

“Definitely,” Robin agreed.

“Without you, Robin would be turning people like crazy,” Jem added.

I laughed. “I know.”

“Are you glad you’re stuck with us?” Mika said.

“Oh, hell yeah,” I said and it was the truth. I was glad they would be there with me through the good times and the bad. I looked at them. “Forever?”

“Forever,” they agreed.

And that was that.
