Chapter 1157 Loneliness One (3)
Pablo felt that what Timothy said was reasonable, so they began to paint each other's faces. As they did not have any tools, they used the fruits with color.
It had been more than half a month since they took a shower, and it was the first time they looked at each other's faces so closely.
"You look ugly," Timothy said after a while.
Pablo found it unbelievable.
He sneered, "You are the same as me. Your face is dirty."
"I was just joking," Timothy said.
Pablo didn't know how to reply.
"I mean it," he said as he colored Timothy's face green with a fruit.
Timothy fell silent.
The eagle above her head let out a long howl as if it was laughing.
Pablo chuckled.
As Timothy kept staring at Pablo, the latter had no way but to purse his lips and said, "Alright, you are pretty."
Timothy applied mud on Pablo's face with a blank face.
Pablo didn't say anything else.
They entered the forest at night. Unfortunately, they fell into a swamp.
Since Timothy got stuck in it by accident, Pablo tried to save her. However, he failed, and both of them were in danger.
"Don't move. The more you struggle, the deeper you sink." Pablo blew a whistle, and the eagle above his head swooped down. After circling around, the eagle threw a tree vine in front of Pablo. Before Pablo took the vine and managed to get himself out of the swamp, he saw an animal covered in thorns rushing over. The animal looked like both a pig and a hedgehog.
Pablo was shocked.
He cast a glance at Timothy and asked, "We are going to die here. Do you have any last words?"
Considering for a while, Timothy said, "I hope the animal can eat you first."
Pablo wondered if he had misheard Timothy.
The strange animal was about the size of a cow. It panted heavily. As soon as it saw Pablo and Timothy, it ran towards Pablo. When it moved closer to them, it seemed to find that Timothy smelled better. Therefore, it changed direction, and then all its four hooves sank into the swamp.
Timothy held her breath and tilted her head. "It's stinky."
Pablo also smelled it. He reached out to get the vine and pulled himself out. He gritted his teeth and said, "Hold on. I'm gonna save you. It will be our dinner later."
It took them more than three hours to climb out of the swamp. Pablo didn't eat his words, and the animal became their dinner.
There were many rare animals in the forest. Occasionally, Pablo and Timothy would encounter tigers, as well as animals that looked like both cows and deer. There were also animals with long tails. They had faces like cats, but they were much bigger. Some animals had faces like mice and bodies like squirrels. These animals had thick fur and lived in the water.
Pablo and Timothy also saw many
animals in the river being killed by electric eels. As a result, they did not dare to approach the river. They drank the dew gathered on the leaves. Pablo fell unconscious after being bitten by a mosquito.
Timothy carried him for a day and a night before they left the forest. She was exhausted. She passed out as soon as they got out of the forest. Before she fell unconscious, she struggled to gesture to the eagle in the sky.
When Timothy woke up, she found that both she and Pablo were in the hospital.
Since the poison in Pablo's body wasn't cleared in time, he didn't come to life until a week later.
Pablo and Timothy stayed in the hospital for half a month. Only after they were fully recovered did they prepare to set off for the next place.
Over the past two weeks, Timothy
had been taking care of Pablo by herself. She didn't leave him even at night. After all, they only knew each other in this strange place. Since Pablo had to stay in bed, he had sense of insecurity. Timothy was the only one he trusted. Timothy did not dare to leave Pablo alone in the
ward. She was anxious as well.
The nurses here liked to look at Pablo with their eyes full of love. Timothy feared that Pablo would be seduced by them.
Timothy had a gift for languages. After two years of travel, she was able to chat with young local doctors. Whenever she did so, Pablo would cough and interrupt her. He did it once again. The doctor Timothy talked with blinked at her and left.
Although Timothy didn't have fair skin, she was good-looking and bore an exotic beauty. Most of the male doctors here tended to be attracted to girls like her.
In addition, she was devoted to Pablo. No man could reject a woman who loved him deeply.
Over the past fortnight, lots of male
doctors had shown their affections
for Timothy Given she had met many foreigners while traveling last year, she knew that they were open-minded and got used to
kissing people they liked. Fime
aman asked if he could kiss her, Timothy would smile politely and refuse.
Pablo happened to see a male doctor kissing Timothy's cheeks one day. To his surprise, Timothy didn't push him away and still smiled at him. Pablo looked sullen in an instant. "Are you in love with that man?" he asked with a gloomy face after Timothy returned to the ward.
"Who?" Timothy was at a loss.
Pablo pointed at her face and said, "I saw the man kissing you." Pondering for a moment, he reached out to wipe her face with his thumb.
Timothy said, "I see. The doctor kissed me out of courtesy. You are mistaken."
Something occurred to her. She looked at Pablo and asked, "You want me to kiss you as well, right?"
Without waiting for Pablo to reply, she leaned over and kissed both sides of his cheeks.
Pablo was dumbfounded.
He pursed his lips and felt complicated.
Soon, it was time for them to set off again. Pablo was in a totally different mood as opposed to when they first set off for a vacation.
He thought of the newly-married couple he met on the train.
They loved each other deeply. Their eyes were full of yearning for the journey.
Pablo could understand their thoughts now.
He looked at Timothy, who stood beside him. With the eagle in her arms, she lowered her head to kiss it on the head. Then, she threw the eagle into the air. After it flew into the air, she turned to look at Pablo and said, "Let's go."
"Alright."
