Angelo Le roux.
"I can't seem to believe it, I'm gone for what? A year and I come back to this surprise." Brad said in his deep British accent. He
had always been one person I could confide in, we met in London during my college days.
"Yeah Yeah." I lazily replied. He had changed alot from having a pale complexion with lots of acne, that was college. I guess but
he had always been tall now he was well built with his dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He had definitely learned a lot from me.
"Actually I'm glad you are here because who would be my best man..?" I grinned looking at his shocked expression, one thing
about Brad was he was always a softy. We are opposites, we have always been opposites but I guess that's what made our
friendship stronger and stable than any other. Ofcourse, I had always been the cool good looking one but it didn't matter. Brad
came from a middle class family in London, I usually loved spending more time in his small home town in remote Manchester
than going back to my own mansion in the Netherlands. It was something that really annoyed my parents.
"Really? Are you bloody serious right now mate?" Brad gasped but quickly gulped down his whisky.
"Bloody serious." I mimicked his accent.
"Well-" He paused. "I mean it would be an Honour Angie Manjie buddy."
"Don't start with that." I warned with an amusing face, i hated that nickname his mom always called me that... oh may her soul
rest in peace. She died four years ago from cancer.
"I will never stop calling you that seeing as it annoys you." He chuckled, we were in his hotel room, yes, I insisted he stayed at
the pent house as a guest but Yaya had other thoughts.
"So this is it buddy you are all grown up now." He said sadly.
"I guess." I sipped on my whiskey.
"What happened to your girl friend Rachel ?" He asked.
"Oh Raina." I paused. "She was never my girlfriend, we just fucked then she got pregnant."
"How could I forget when you called me panicking-" i cut him off.
"I was not panicking, you always exaggerate Brad."
"No, i don't thing is I have a perfectly good memory and I remember well how you woke me up from my beautiful sleep at three
am, only to tell me that you are going to be a father." He said raising his voice with laughter.
"Brad, I'm going to be a father not just to one kids but two, FUCK MY SOUL." Brad mimicked my actions from that night.
"Timezones fucking Timezones...bullshit. How was i supposed to know it was 3am in London since it was like around ten pm in
the US." I grumbled.
"See, I was always the smart one." He said in a nonchalant tone.
"Don't start with that, buddy." I laughed knowing he was joking.
"Anyways how are the kids? Shit I'm a horrible godfather, I haven't seen them since they were three." He frowned.
"They are now six and already started first grade, you better feel like shit Godfather." I said sarcastically. "They're my everything
Brad, can't imagine my life without them. They make everything worth it. I can't help but smile when they're around or miss them
when they aren't around. They mean absolutely everything to me. I would move the ends of earth just to see them smile."
"Already started first grade, wow they are all grown huh ?" He smiled to himself, one thing I like about Brad was the fact that he
was always thoughtful. "I can't wait to experience that, sounds like the best feeling anyone could ever have."
"Soon, I will have to chase away the small boys away from Ashley." I muttered making Brad laugh.
"Mhm, now you know how it feels." He paused filling his glass with more whiskey. "To be chasing people's daughters without
their father's knowledge."
- Raina's father should have whipped you.
"You know I'm joking bud." Brad said patting my back but this had definitely knocked the air out of my lungs. I couldn't imagine
some boy making my daughter pregnant, then treating her the way I do to Raina. I would definitely kill someone, trust I would
without any hesitance.
"So uhh is Raina okay with all this?" He snapped me out of my thoughts after I remained quiet.
"Yes, she is actually handling it better than I thought." I replied.
"Mhm." Brad nodded.
"So tell me about Yaya, why is she the one ?" He asked.
"Oh Bradley Murray don't start with your quizzical questions." I mumbled running my hand through my jet black hair. The truth of
the matter is 'I' myself, I didn't know.
"No I'm serious. As the best man I need to make sure you are ready for this and you are not making any mistake." He said on a
serious note. "So go on tell me ?"
"Fine." I sighed. "Yasmine is beautiful."
"Ofcourse she is." Brad rolled his eyes, i knew he never liked her from the first time he met five months ago in New York.
The weekend you spend with Raina.
How could I forget that weekend, it was amazing.
Maybe Brad hated her because she called him a bimbo who was only hanging with you to eat your family Fortune.
She didn't mean it, she may have had one too many drinks.
"She cares about me." I said.
"Mhm.." He nodded.
"She is career driven."
"Being a fashion designer is not exactly...but something like law you study and master it for four years now that's career driven
besides wasn't she born into a rich Dutch family. You are practically perfect for each other."
"Why did you have to say law?" I frowned.
"My bad, that just came to mind first but Doctor, Accountant, Businessman like myself." He said proudly. I nodded, i knew he
didn't mean to use Law as an example it had just been am honest coincidence that he used law and my baby mama is a lawyer.
Brad had his very own import and export business in London, so he was a successful business man like myself.
"How's that going?" I changed the subject.
"It's going great. I was actually here to discuss a few things with Derrick Collins." He said proudly.
"Derrick Collins as in the murderer?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yes, well no his son will be talking over so we won't have to worry about that. Hopefully he has one hell of a good lawyer to get
out of that bloody mess." Brad mumbled shaking his head slowly.
"He does actually." I said out loud.
"Really ?" He asked looking interested.
"Yeah, it's Raina."
"What ? Woah are you serious, no you are kidding I know it." He grimaced. When I didn't respond he chuckled in disbelief. "Wow
Uhm what a small world, now that's what you call career driven."
"If you say so." I weakly smiled raising my glass.
