Chapter Unknown 35
WREN
__________
I was in the city within seconds after finding their scents. My nose twitched at the stench of all the rogues hurting my people. I may not be from this pack, but these are good people who lived in this community for years with each other.
I'm glad to call Raven's Creek my own.
I wonder how she'd react if she knew all of this was going on.
Speak of the devil.
'Wren, what's happening?' Kassidy's worries voice filtered in my mind.
'Yes, He is. He's doing it so he could stop all of the rogues from coming any further into the city. There's a lot of them. Alex and Stylo are raising hell over here. Anais is helping with the city people and their kids. Kassandra and Jordan are with their parents at the boarders keeping out rogues as best as they can. I haven't heard any word from them-' I was interrupted by the roaring of my brother's wolf.
'What was that?' Kassidy quietly asked me.
'Ben.' I cut the link and opened a new one with Kash.
'How is he?' I urgently spat out.
'Huge...' Kash breathed out.
'Can I use your eyes to see him?' Kash whispered a yes and I closed my eyes and looked out of his.
Holy...
Kash was right, he is huge.
Around the same size as Riot, maybe a bit bigger.
His fur was crimson red at the ends with inky black roots. His paws were the size of a cabin. His head was like a damn gigantic jaw breaker. He was gorgeous. His teeth were pitch black as the inside of his mouth was a blazing red color. Lightning cracked around his body in that crimson cloud of an aura.
He was monstrously beautiful.
In the back of my mind I felt Riot wanting to meet with his brother. To stand beside his brother as the beastly wolves they were.
I smiled through at my brother and reached a hand out and touched one very muscular leg of his. He looked like a wolf on steroids.
My brother looked down at me and Kash. He bore his inky crimson eyes into my own eyes. His tongue came out and licked the side of mine and Kash's face. The force knocked him back a bit.
Ben snapped his head up as his eyes glazed over. Someone was mind linking him.
It's the girls.
He helped Kash get back up and nodded in the direction he was going in and crushed the ground beneath his feet as he walked to the boarder. If he ran, the whole city would really be done for.
I closed my eyes again and left Kash's body and went back into my own. My eyes spotted Ben in the distance. Even from where I was standing he looked clear as day.
But the smells of the two I was looking for is still pungent in the air. I look everywhere in the spot I was standing in, then Riot's voice filled my mind.
'Close your eyes and focus on finding their power instead of them. If you can sense their power you can find the real them. They have a very powerful witch in their side that could probably do the Astro projection that Anais does twice as good as hers.' He made a good point.
'Thanks, bud.' I mentally pat his nose.
Here goes nothing.
I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply as their scents filled my nose. I surrounded myself in my mental darkness and waited to find any sense of their power near me. It was in the distance.
Passed the boarder line. Their presence is hard to locate with all those damn rogues around. But I can do this, I was made to be a Revolutionary for a reason.
I started heading north. I opened my link to Kash.
'I found them. What's happening with you?' I ask. He responded.
'I'm here with the girls. Jordan's hurt. One of the bigger rogues took a chunk out of her and there's a lot of blood loss. I'm holding the wolf down right now and draining it's energy.' He told me.
'Okay, our that energy into Jordan and take her to Anais' Astro self or her mom they could help heal her completely.' I said.
'Done. I'm taking her to them right now. And one more thing, Wren.' He said over the link.
'What is it?' I ask.
'Kill those bastards.' He growled and cut off the link. I smirked and looked up to the sky.
I'll kill them all.
I closed my eyes and began walking in the direction of where their power is radiating. People ran passed me to get to safety. I was able to move and help any people get back on their feet as I continued to where the duo were.
I used my enhanced speed and blurred passed all of the stragglers and cut down rogues that tried to block my path with my swords. I kept running until I fell out of boundary.
I stopped.
Their power stopped flowing.
God damnit, it's a cloaking spell.
I closed my eyes again and grasped onto my swords tightly in my hands as I tried to feel for their presence.
Left.
Before I knew what was happening my hand shot out and embedded itself into someone's flesh.
Then her sweet voice filled my ears.
"Why would you stab me, Wren?" My eyes shot open to see my beautiful mate with my ice shard sword lodged into her stomach.
My face drained of blood. My body stiffened. My heart dropped into the depths of my stomach as I seen the blood trickle from her pretty plump lips and from the ugly crimson wound in her belly.
"How could you do this to me? I thought you loved me!" She croaked out, blood sputtering with each word.
Then I remembered something.
I never told her I loved her.
Neither did she tell me.
My blood boiled as the realization hit me.
"Who are you?" I barked into the imposters face. Her face tilted into a malicious smirk. The blade slid out of her belly as her hands grasped onto it and she yanked it out.
"Oh, Wrennie. Why would you ever believe that I would ever love someone as monstrous as you? You killed an entire pack of rogues because you were hungry. You ripped a wolf in half with your bare hands and tried to kill your own brother." She poked in my chest. Her touch sent disgust through my body.
Instead of the warm sparks of affection, I got stabs of needles with every flick of finger against my heaving chest.
Every time she laid a hand on my body my power felt like it was draining.
'Riot? What's going on?!' I mentally screamed at him.
'I just linked Jana and she's still in the Other Plain.' His worried voice boomed in my head.
"Who are you?" I breathlessly asked. I fell to my knees.
I coughed hard as involuntary tears fell from my eyes and blood came from the back of my throat.
"I didn't want to do this to you, Wrennie poo. But you gave me no choice. You kept choosing that good fit nothing butch over me. I bet she never told you she loved you did she?" With each word she stabbed more at my chest.
I coughed heavily as more blood lurched from my body through my mouth. My power began to die down too, my swords also began to dissolve into my body again.
"W-why are you s-so concerned with my r-relationship with her? Are you j-jealous-?" A hard punch landed straight into my jaw.
My head knocked to the side as more came. She straddled my waist and began to pound my face with her fists. Raining punches down as I sputtered out more blood.
"I!" Punch.
"Will!" Another punch.
"Never!" Some more punches.
"Be Jealous!" There goes another one.
"Of! That!" Wow, she's still going.
"Stupid!" My face is really starting to hurt now.
"Ugly!" Who was ugly?
"Bitch!" She throws one more punch.
Riot spoke to me again.
'I contacted Xander. He's coming to our aid. I'll lend you some power now and I want you to kill her. While she stabbed you I sensed who she was. It's Brayden. She's heavily cloaked in a cloning type of magic using Kassidy's face.' Riot informed me.
I felt Riot's powers filter in my body in place of my own. The crimson red and sea green aura returned but more powerful than before. My body ached from all the beating I took from her and chest felt like a huge dagger was stuck in there.
But I could still win this.
I opened my eyes and felt the rush of his power flowing straight into my veins and kicked Brayden off of me.
She stood up again to attack me but I was on her in seconds. My hand made its way onto her throat as I lifted her off the ground and threw her far out into a large oak tree in the distance.
A crack and dent made its way on the tree as her body crashed into the bark. A split appeared on her head as her body flipped down onto the ground. She lifted her head from the ground and struggled to get back up. I stepped forward to attack again but a hard force of wind knocked me off balance. I flew into a tree myself. Taking the tree down along with me. My back felt like it was breaking from my body.
Laughing and growling could be heard from the direction from where I was thrown. A man dressed in a black cloak revealing a crooked smile with disgusting yellow cracked teeth.
"Stylo." I growled out. My canines were just aching to be in his hide. My anger was blown out of my body as I looked into his face once again.
The clouds filled the sky. Red lightning cracked and popped in the skies as a furious growl escaped and fumbled from my lips.
The trees shook as icy shard cut through the air wrapping around me. My swords bursted from my back into their sheaths and holders as my hands clamped down onto the grips and my legs sprang and ran off the tree into action.
"Tsk. I never knew how hot headed you really were, Wren. Always ready for a fight are we?" He smirked at me.
He didn't know what he had coming.
I said nothing as I blurred up to him.
Then, in an instant I leaned up and sliced his left knee cap open. His wails and screams filled my ears like music before another strong wind blew me back again.
He cried out more, but another ugly smirk placed itself on his lips before he muttered out a word in Latin and he stood back up in both legs.
"I'm good as new." He shrugged at me.
I growled under my breath and stood on shaky legs. Before I could move again, a fiery aura so strong filled the air. A blast of smoldering smoke was set ablaze in between Stylo and I by a good distance apart from both of us.
How did she get out?
"What makes you think that I wouldn't come and save my man from danger?" Her beautiful voice filled my ears like angels singing.
"Darlin'." I breathed.
My mate.
