Chapter 58
HAYLEY
I stare back at the woman who was supposed to have loved me, the one who should have protected me.
Her face was white as a sheet; she honestly thought she killed me.
She stares back at me, but after a few moments, her face changes to pure rage. "You should have been dead. I made sure you suffered," she says.
She suddenly smirks at me. "I bet you have some lovely scars on you now, bitch."
I don't say anything, I just stare at her. I can feel everyone's anger rise at what she is saying.
I step forward towards her cell door. "Why would you want to kill me?" I ask.
I can feel Raina looking through my eyes, growling at the woman who tried to kill us.
My mum looks at me and stands up from the bench she was sitting on, she walks over to the cell door with her eyes never leaving mine. "Like I like I told you back in the tent, you should have never been born," she says with a snarl. "You ruined my life."
I growl and hear everyone else's too. "How the fuck did I ruin your life?" I shouted at her. "You made up most of the rumors about me, for what because you wanted to be with someone else? Why would you do anything like that? To your own daughter."
She looks at me with a smile on her face. "You are so pathetic, you are just like that idiot man who raised you," she says as she looks through the gate and places her hands on the bars to hold while still wearing her smile "That man thought keeping you would help our family, it would help me but there was no helping our family or me, those two behind you won't even let me get near you, I would have killed you when you were younger but that prat of a man was always in the way or they were."
I move closer feeling the anger build up inside, Raina being so close to the surface, I close my eyes and Raina steps in as we become one, her blue eyes shine which makes my mother step back with sudden shock but Raina moves quickly and grabs hold of her hand that was holding onto the bar, using our strength she squeezes my mother's hand which makes her scream out in pain. "Get the hell off me," she screams, but Raina doesn't let go.
"YOU PATHETIC PIECE OF CRAP," Raina growls through her teeth. "NO ONE TALKS TO MY HUMAN LIKE THAT AND GETS AWAY WITH IT."
I can feel Harvey step closer behind me, with Harrison on the other side. "Mother, I think it is about time you met Raina," he says, I can feel his smirk. "Raina here, is the one that will kill you if you don't give her answers but I will also state you are going to die but by whose hand is another story," he says with a snarl.
Raina growls loudly. "YOU HURT MY HUMAN BECAUSE YOU NEVER LOVED YOUR MATE AND HATED HER FOR WHAT HAVING A MATE THAT TRULY CARED ABOUT HER," she yells.
Raina hit the nail on the head; I looked at my mother's face as the realization set in. Theo and I were destined mates, that's what true mates mean, but Gary and her were never destined to be together. They had mates. They were never meant to be together.
"Why should she have who she wanted? Huh!! I wanted Gary, not that low life mate I had," she says. "I wanted Gary more than I ever wanted that useless one. He made me feel things I never did with that useless prick. He was even good in bed," she says and she glares at us. "You think being true mates is a destiny, you are so wrong, you both are pathetic, you won't exceed anything," she says. "He's not even an alpha. Why settle for less?"
Raina growls louder, Agent Matthews unlocks the door and Raina pushes the gate open which sends my mother hurling back as she releases her hand towards the wall. We walk in with Harrison and Harvey following behind. My mother looks back, stunned, and leans on the wall for support. "You can't kill me, I'm..." she says, but Harrison growls. "You dare call yourself our mother. You never wanted any of us," he snarls.
She looks behind me, her face turns white once again and I can't help but smirk. "I'm assuming you know who he is," I say as Raina pushes me forward but stays close by as she wants to kill my mother.
My mother doesn't say anything but stares at the man behind me.
Nathan is right by the side of me growling at her. "You pathetic bitch, you stole everything from me. You took my money, killed my family and blackmailed me for what, so you could help yourself to a low life scum like Gary Lawson," he says with a growl and steps forward towards her, which she shudders near his presence.
"Well, are you going to answer me or should I let our daughter kill you?" he says as he looks at me with a slight smirk.
I don't look back at him. I can feel his eyes going between the both of us; I stare back at my mother, who has this dumbfounded facial expression which makes me want to laugh at her.
"I guess you are surprised to see him," I said.
She looks at me; something inside me wants to know. "Why did you think I was dead?" I ask her.
She just looks at me and then back at Nathan, then back at me.
"I would answer the question if I were you," says Agent Matthews, who was standing in the corner of the cell watching on.
My mother didn't say anything, but I think I know why.
"You tested my blood, didn't you?" I asked her, and she looked at me. "You knew my blood was rare. You knew no one would be able to save me from the amount of blood loss I had. That's why you kept stabbing me in places for me to bleed out."

My mother smirks. "It would have worked too if..." she says, but stops as Nathan snarls at her, sending a shiver down my spine. "How the hell did you know about the blood?" He asks with a firm voice.
She looks at him and smiles. "Well, why do you think we let you go when you were in the cells?" She says and Nathan stares at her with a blank expression on his face, but she carries on. "Ah, you didn't know I was there when Gary killed your pack and took over. I helped myself to reading or more like torturing one of your teachers about information on you and he let slip about your blood. There was a tale that the old alpha and Luna told Alpha Jacob when he was a young one," she says and looks back at me. "Your blood is the last of a powerful pack. The teacher only confirmed it for us," she says, as Nathan growls.
I step closer. "Well, I don't care about our blood. All I want to do now is spill yours," I say through gritted teeth.
Raina comes forward once more and we look over my shoulder to see Harrison and Harvey. "I think you two should hold her," she says with a snarl. "We are doing this as a family."
They both go to either side of her and hold her arms tight as I walk closer to her and make sure I was up with Raina. Her eyes look back at me, stunned. "You are as one," she says. "How?"
Raina and I smirk. "Now you want to know more mother, let me give you a little story. I mean we should tell you why," we say together. We looked at Harvey, but it was Harrison who spoke. "You see, mother, you might have thought Hayley was weak and made sure she never trained well. She is, not only that we worked as a family, not just the three of us. We had an amazing teacher who taught us," he says. "You know, the mate you never wanted." Harvey snarls. "Not many people can do what we can, but the thing is, her brothers taught her how to do many things over the years, and I mean many things even to be one with her wolf," he says.
Our mother looks between all three of us and realizes that all of us are as one with our wolves. Harrison and Harvey are forward with their wolves, too. They snarl and turn to me. "You ready sister," they say together. Raina's claws come through and with one swoop, her claws slice through our mother's neck.
Blood sprays everywhere, but it wasn't long till my mother was dead. Within seconds her eyes had nothing in them.
Harrison and Harvey let go of her body as it slumps down in a heap in front of us.
I stare down at her as Raina goes back; she has a smile on her face for ending the life of the person who wronged me and also everyone else.
She never will hurt me or my loved ones again.
I look over my shoulder as Harrison and Harvey walk towards Nathan and Agent Matthews outside the cells.

But big arms wrap around my waist, I can't help but smile as Theo places his head in the crook of my neck, he inhales my scent. "I'm so proud of you baby," he says as he places a kiss on my neck.
We stare at the body in front of us. "I think we should go now," I say suddenly. "I want to go back to bed," I turned around and saw his smirk on his face. "MMM...I like the sound of that," he says as he places his lips on mine.
Someone clears their throat, we break apart to see Agent Matthews grinning back at us. "Hayley, I'm so proud of you," she says and looks at the body. "Someone will deal with this mess later; Alpha Jacob and everyone are waiting for you outside. Let's get you out of here," she says.
I couldn't agree more with that statement. The smell of blood was starting to turn me slightly.
Theo and I walk out of the cell, as I can see Nathan looking back inside. I place my hand in his. "It's all over now," I say quietly and he smiles at me but doesn't say anything but nods.
Theo and I lead the way out of the cells, followed by Agent Matthews and then Nathan, but only to come face to face with Harvey and Emma, Harvey and Vivian standing outside the door, only a few feet away from the cell's opening. They all smile as we walk through.
I look over to the side and see Aunt Jackie, who has some tears flowing down her face; I can't believe she watched what I did; it must have been hard to witness her own sister being like that. I walk away from Theo and wrap my arms around Aunt Jackie. I knew she needed all of us.
She holds me but pulls back and looks at me. "You are one strong lady," she says with a sniffle. "You know that." She looks proud; this is what a mother should be like towards a child, showing love and support.
Aunt Jackie's eyes move to behind me and she gasps.
"MATE," says two voices together.
I look at Jackie, stunned, but when I turn around to see who had said the same word as well; I was completely stunned, but I can't help the smile that comes across my face. Nathan.
Nathan and Aunt Jackie are second chance mates. The Moon Goddess couldn't have made a better couple.
