Alpha’s Regret Dear Luna Please come back by Angelina Bhardawaj

Chapter 19

Chapter 19

Alexis rushed out of the cabin, barely missing Marianna, who tried to run out of the hospital at the same time.

She indeed wanted to fill Alexis’s thoughts with poisonous words against Augustus and hurt her terribly so that the girl would leave the city like she had left four years ago and never return, but that could wait. Her life was more important

to her.

The blaring siren of the hospital was more than enough for her to run out

However, she couldn’t run out.

Due to the explosion, the exit was blocked and the rogues were standing outside the hospital with sinister smiles on

their faces.

Alexis quickly gave orders to the nurses to save as many people as they could before she ran towards the critical regions to help the nurses and ward boys to ensure the safety of the patients who couldn’t move.

Everyone was scared and running here and there, panic visible on all the faces.

The visitors of the patients were cursing their luck while the patients who had decided to conduct their routine health check–ups were blaming themselves for choosing this cursed day.

“Doctor! Doctor! Please do something. Please help me. I can’t die here. My 6–year–old daughter is alone at home. She won’t have anyone if something happens to me. Please save me. I can’t die,” One lady nearly fell on Alexis’s feet to beg. Alexis looked at the lady helplessly, helping her up before she comforted her that she wouldn’t allow anyone to get

hurt on her watch.

They quickly ushered people towards another exit that led to the basement as the building started to crumble bit by bit.

“Kriti, you take these two beds out. Let the other nurses follow you. Those patients who can move will follow suit. Let me see what’s the situation with the rogues. How many of them are there, and if we can ask any alpha nearby us to back us up,” Alexis said to the nurse who nodded immediately and left.

Alexis hurried back, but on the way as she was running, the wall crumbled on top of her, and the iron rod plunged into her forearm, making her wince in pain.

She fell to the ground, her back hurting because of the hit, but she knew not to give up. There were just too many people who needed her help.

And she wasn’t a coward to hide just with this little pain. She was an alpha’s daughter. Alexis groaned in pain before pushing the wall away, wiping the sweat and blood from her face.

“Doctor Alexis! You are bleeding!” The nurse who was ushering the family members of the patients out from the back gates as the

rogues were known to enter the hospital from the terrace, immediately exclaimed.

The nurse was about to run towards her, but Alexis shook her head. There were more pressing

matters at hand.

Alexis looked at her hand and grabbed the bandage from the emergency room, messily wrapping it around her hand to stop the bleeding as she proceeded to help everyone walk out.

She was about to turn and check other rooms when her gaze fell on Marianna, sitting in the corner near the exit, hiding behind a large vase and her brows furrowed.

What the hell was this girl doing here? Judging from her complexion, it didn’t look like she had any kind of medical

стеткенсу.

Alexis was tempted to leave the girl there. She wouldn’t lie. She had that thought and even her wolf agreed with it, but the Goodwill and her doctor’s conscience in her heart stopped her from leaving her alone.

“What are you doing here, hiding right in front of the exit? Can you use your brain sometimes?” Alexis grabbed Marianna’s hand and was about to pull her towards the backside when they heard a shot going off.

A new wave of screams echoed in the hospital as the thick smell of blood spread all over.

They didn’t need to be told twice that the rogues probably shot someone.

“Do you not care for your life anymore? Tell us where the hell is that doctor? Doctor Alexis?! The cold voice of the rogue echoed, and Marianna widened her eyes as she looked at the girl holding her hand.

No. She wasn’t a fool. It was obvious if she stayed with Alexis, she would die either way. Marianna shook her head and immediately pushed the girl away.

If you want to die, die alone. Don’t bring me into this shit with you. These rogues are here for you. If you really had any sense of responsibility and safety for your patients and all these innocent people, you would surrender yourself.” Marianna said before running in another direction to hide for the time being until matters cooled down.

Though Marianna was usually selfish, it didn’t mean what she said didn’t make any sense. Alexis looked at the stairs with a contemplating heart.

If the rogues were here for her, does that mean they would leave the patients and all these innocent people alone if she surrendered?

Once she ensured everyone was safe, she could always fight back, right? Alexis started walking upstairs, her hand tightening at the scalpel and scissors that she randomly took to defend herself.

The main question as to why the rogues wanted her in the first place echoed in her head.

At the same time, in the skyscraper building of Augustine Enterprises, Augustus, who was having a meeting, looked at the man who rushed inside the room without taking any permission.

“Sir, I am a member of the Hidden Earth team who was given the task to keep a lookout on Miss Alexis. Sir, the hospital is under attack by the rogues,” The man said, and Augustus, who was about to sign the paper to approve the new design of the project, froze in his place.

What did he say? The hospital was under attack?

“And you are telling me this now?” Augustus stood and rushed out of the conference hall immediately.

Ethan, who remembered Marianna talking about going to the hospital, rushed behind Beta Mark, stopping him abruptly.

“Sir, Marianna had gone to the same hospital because she was feeling under the weather,” Ethan said

Mark nodded in understanding before sitting inside his car to quickly follow his boss who had already left.

“Why is there so much traffic at the time when there is an attack in the city?” Augustus growled and accelerated the car to 140 to reach the hospital as quickly as possible.

‘Our mate will be fine, right? His wolf stood from his place and started pacing around, making Augustus press the horn frustratingly to warn all the cars.

“Nothing will happen to her. Not this time, Augustus comforted himself more than his wolf as he kept on accelerating

Those people who were well aware of the number plate of the car of the alpha immediately started to give way to

him.

The news channels who also heard of the matter were starting to report the incident on the news channels, covering the incident from some distance

“There you are,” One of the rogues, who had been looking for Alexis, looked at the girl, who stood in front of them, already bleeding profusely.

Alexis looked at the rogue, her heart beating loudly as she saw him holding a little girl by the nape of her neck. “Let the girl go. You want me. I am here. Be a man and let her go, Alexis said, wanting to provoke the rogue. The rogue looked at her with a condescending smile before laughing.

“Do you want to see me being a man?” The rogue asked before he threw the girl away, making the little girl hit the wall.

“You” Alexis growled at the rogue,

“What? Are you getting angry? Do you think you can take us down?” The rogue asked, and as soon as she said that, three more rogues joined him.

Alexis looked at the rogues before her gaze landed on the nurse who was standing at the end of the corridor and peeping at them.

‘Selene. She asked her wolf.

‘It’s better to die in a battle rather than dying a cowardly death. I am ready: Selene roared, and Alexis looked at the rogues with a new found courage.

“I don’t think I can take you done,” Alexis whispered, making the rogues laugh.

However, at the next moment, she cracked the bones in her neck.

“I know I will definitely kill you. She said resolutely.

The rogues immediately became angry and jumped on her to attack her. Before the rogue could punch Alexis, she pulled out the scalpel and plunged it straight into the chest of the rogue before bending and stabbing his thighs with the scissors, everything happening within a couple seconds.

The rogue screamed in agony and Alexis wiped the blood on her doctor’s coat that she was still wearing.

“I don’t know what kind of animosity you guys have with me, but if you thought you would get away with hurting an alpha’s daughter, you guys were wrong,” Alexis said before she kicked another rogue, her wound on the arm stretching when she punched the third rogue, making her wince in pain.

“The alpha’s daughter?” The rogues asked as she looked at her with a horrified expression.

Alexis knew something was amiss with the rogue attack and now her suspicion strengthened.

If they really wanted only her, they could’ve just singled her out and not attacked the entire hospital.

They weren’t here to kill her. They were just here to hurt her terribly and harm the hospital so that the authorities

would send her away if they kept making it look like it was all because of her.

“For you guys to not even know about the person you are attacking, you are quite a novice at your job,” Alexis said before she took the steel holder and hit the other rogues.

The sound of loud police sirens echoed, and the rogues widened their eyes when they realized that the backup was already here and they might be caught.

As Alexis saw the rogues starting to run, she grabbed the foot of one rogue,

“I will not let you go if you don’t tell me who sent you here, Alexis said as the other three rogues ran away.

The rogue looked at her with panicked eyes as he tried to free himself.

“I don’t know. We just got this gig through a call. The person said we just need to damage the hospital and harm you so that you leave and don’t ever come here in this city. Please. I don’t know anything else. I was just doing what we were ordered. I didn’t even hurt anyone. Please, I have a family too,” The rogue said, and Alexis let go of the rogue.

This rogue wasn’t her target. Her target was this person who hired these rogues to send her away.

But why?

It couldn’t be Marianna because if that was the case, she wouldn’t have been here. And if it was Augustus, he wouldn’t really go through this hassle.

So who was it? As Alexis was wondering about it, she heard the sickening sound of the crack and the ceiling started to crumble, making her eyes widen.

She rushed downstairs and was about to rush out from the window when she noticed nurse Kriti standing right under the falling ceiling.

“Kriti!” Alexis rushed to the site and pushed Kriti away.

She was a

about to run out when another explosion resounded and the floor underneath her crumbled and turned into a large ditch.

Alexis would’ve fallen into the ditch if she hadn’t held onto the part of the floor that didn’t go down.

“Someone please help. Doctor Alexis!” Kriti shouted from out of the window as she looked at the scene in horror with Tears streaming down her cheeks.

The other nurses gathered at the entrance and exit as they looked at their struggling doctor who helped save everyone’s life.

The ceiling started to crumble little by little and Alexis struggled hard to pull herself, but no matter how hard she tried, she wasn’t able to do it.

She looked down at the sharp iron rods and her heart nearly leaped in her mouth.

If she fell, there was no way she would stay alive.

As Alexis looked around her, not even one person capable of helping her, she couldn’t help but smile in self–mockery.

Was this her reality at the end? There was no one for her. She was bound to stay alone.

Tears brimmed her eyes as she remembered her dad. He had used all kinds of excuses he could to stop her from coming here, but she had insisted.

He was waiting for her at home. And he wasn’t alone.

“I… I am sorry, Dad. I am sorry, my Pookie, Alexis whispered, fear making her tremble as her sweaty hands started to lose their grip on the floor tiles.

She looked ahead as she tried and looked at Marianna hugging Augustus who probably arrived to save his so–called best friend.

A rogue tear rolled down her cheeks.

“This is my end indeed,” Alexis thought as her hand started to slip.
