Chapter TIME FLIES AHEAD. PART ONE.
"WIZARDS, creatures that can decorate your life and fulfill any of your desires!
They are smart, kind and most importantly, they are ready to do anything to make you happy. The best helpers and companions of every person!
If you don't have a Wizard at home yet, what are you waiting for?"
"Do you want all your wishes to be fulfilled? Want to see the real magic? WIZARDS will help you with this!"
As I looked out the window, I saw a lot of talking posters in front of me depicting creatures like Comet.
It's been exactly three years since I asked Sennhandd why he created Comet. And in these three years, a lot of new things have happened in this world.
But I didn't know that Sennhandd's goal was simply to give everyone the same creature as Comet.
They, genderless beings fulfilling desires was called – WIZARDS.
And I didn't like it at all. I didn't know Comet was just the beginning. And that in three years, creatures like this will fill this whole world.
Ever since I asked Sennhandd why he created him, I haven't spoken to him since. And I still remembered the day those people brutally attacked Comet.
I couldn't forget his face, and the fact that his life would last only five years.
Now, only two years.
I haven't seen Comet.
During these three years, I continued to do what I always did. I've read a lot of books, but most importantly, I wrote my book. And now, I expected my book to be seen by the whole world.
I just started writing down my daily thoughts and it just turned out to be a whole novel.
Perhaps to forget all my experiences and hatred for Sennhandd, I began to write. In words, in my thoughts, I found salvation and my own world.
I locked myself in my room again. The outside world continued to exist, but I did not want to realize that I belonged to this world.
There were so many different worlds in my head that I gradually began to forget about people.
Yundoran, as always, came to my house almost every day, Higgdalph too, sometimes sent me letters, but I did not answer him.
When you're immortal, time seems to be in one place. But according to the calendar, I see that time flies only forward. Even if time no longer has power over people.
When I started writing my second book, I tried not to think about the advertisements that were being heard everywhere.
Perhaps because of the novelty that appeared in this boring world, there were few people on the streets. And flying cars, too. Probably, all "played" with their new toys, feeling special just because of the fact that a good being who will live only five years, is ready to fulfill any whim of any person.
What freedom did Sennhandd give everyone? What will happen to this world now?
"My friend, it's time for you to go for a walk! You have become very pale!"
I looked at him and said nothing.
While I was working on my first book, he spent his time in my room almost every day, but he didn't bother me at all.
Sometimes, he became a kind of muse for me.
"I'm writing, don't bother me."
"What are you writing? Tell me, what are your books all about?"
"I'll tell you later."
"What's the secret? Do you write about me?"
"WIZARDS! Fill your life with happiness!" was again heard an unpleasantly loud voice, which without stopping said the same thing, until that voice was replaced by some music.
"Wizards, I never thought that such creatures would appear in the world! And this great scientist is making progress in the field of science. It is almost impossible to create such creatures, which also have supernatural powers. I wouldn't be surprised if soon, Sennhandd will invent a time machine and people will start to travel freely into the past and into the future."
"When these creatures were born, I thought you'd be the first to get it."
"I don't need it. I am already happy and quite able to fulfill my wishes."
"I can't believe you're saying that!"
"Who do you think I am?"
Trying to get away from his embrace, I lost all my thoughts, but maybe it was for the better, I needed a little rest.
Falling on the bed, I closed my eyes and suddenly remembered that today, my mother invited to our house some guests. Remembering this, I jumped up and said, "You need to leave. Tonight, guests will come to our house."
"I'm not going anywhere. Anyway, for today I have no plans," Yundoran said and took off his T-shirt.
"What are you doing?"
"Look. Don't you notice anything new?"
I looked closer and noticed that there was a new tattoo on his back. And to my surprise, the tattoo featured him and me.
Smiling, we went somewhere - and at the same time, the tattoo looked so realistic that I felt a little scared.
"And what does that mean?"
"It's you and me. Can't you see it?"
"Why us?"
"You're my best friend. If you didn't know that. Why not? Besides, look how happy we are."
Looking at his back full of different tattoos, which were not stopping moving, I found among them the strangest ones. But of course, among them were beautiful ones. For example, along his spine, I noticed planets and stars that were slowly orbiting its axis.
Looking at me with his purple eyes, Yundoran said, "You need to change your appearance. Maybe you want to change the color of your hair? Look, they've become so long, don't you think that if they were black, it would be more beautiful. With such golden hair color, you look like an angry lion."
"I don’t think so."
"You don't want a tattoo?"
"No. I don't really like it."
"Well, then tomorrow morning we'll go to the beauty salon."
"It's good. Just don't come too early, I need to sleep. I don't sleep at night. I write a book."
"You've become such a busy writer."
"WIZARDS! Buy them in one of the building of SCIBMAG!" again heard this unpleasant voice, which caused a slight headache.
"Don't you think that Sennhandd and the whole SCIBMAG team are plotting something? Don't you think that soon something will change dramatically in this world?"
And then, as usual, my mom opened the door.
"Mrs. Harmony, you are as magnificent as ever today," Yundoran said and smiled so that he seemed brighter than any star.
"Hi Yundoran. I didn't notice that you are here."
"Sometimes I feel like he's already living with us."
"If you want to move here, then go ahead. Still, most of the rooms are empty," my mother said and came up to me.
"Really? Then I'll bring my things!"
“No. You won't live under the same roof with me!”
"Oki, you haven't forgotten that guests are coming to see us today."
"Of course, I haven't forgotten. Who are these people?"
"Well, they are mostly my colleagues. Remember when I told you about three artists who make amazing sculptures? So, they're going to come and another man."
“Will there be Sennhandd among them?”
"Yes," he said.
"Yundoran, let's go. Tonight, I want to see the robot fight."
"Oki! Why are you so angry when you hear his name? What did he do to you?"
"It's just hard for me to be around this man," I said, feeling angry and again remembering in detail what those people were doing with Comet, I said, "You just don't know what kind of person he is. I think he's no different from all people."
My mother looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about.
"And I don't want you to talk to him. He's not as good a man as he is."
"He's right. Our Oki, now has a well-developed intuition," Yundoran added.
"I want you to be home tonight. If you don't want to, you don't have to sit at the same table with them, but you still need to say hello to the guests. Maybe they will help you promote your book."
"I don't need the help of others."
Kissing me on the cheek, my mother stroked Yundoran on the head and said tenderly, "You are still children."
But my intuition told me that something was going to happen tonight.
"Oki, you know it's fashionable to wear leather clothes now. What are you wearing? Do you really think you're an 18th-century gentleman?"
"I feel comfortable in these clothes. I like a style that was popular a few centuries ago."
Closing the door of the closet, I quickly took off the clothes.
But the truth is, maybe I copied the style of gentlemen of the past centuries.
I put on black trousers that were slightly tight, and wearing suspenders and adjusting the red butterfly, I looked at myself in the mirror and suddenly I felt funny. I really looked like an angry lion. And even my eyebrows became a little thick, which gave the impression that I was always angry.
The length of my hair was already below my shoulders, and I stabbed them with an invisible hairpin, allowing slightly wavy curls to hang in front and behind.
I wanted to look elegant today.
"Even if you're so old-fashioned, you're still very handsome," Yundoran said, and hugged me again. So much so that it was hard for me to breathe.
"Let me go."
Running into my closet, Yundoran began to try on almost all my clothes.
"What are you doing?"
"I want to look like a gentleman, too."
"It's not the way to wear it. Have you ever worn a shirt?"
"There's too many buttons."
Once he put on a simple but elegant dark brown jacket and the most ordinary shirt, he turned into an exact copy of one actor whose name I do not remember.
His appearance was certainly pleasant, and he looked a bit like a jaguar, especially his look and those hairs that were perfectly combed back. I looked at him, and I suddenly remembered an excerpt from one film, where the two main characters stood at the window, in expensive clothes, and seeing in front of them a big city, with all the houses and people, felt like kings.
How sad it is that now people have forgotten about the movies. And no one watches movies now.
"What are you thinking?"
"About one movie."
"What?"
"You don't know a single movie."
Throwing a slightly resentful look at me, he then smiled and said, "You know, sometimes I feel like you're not going to find your place in this world. Looking at you, I'm so sad. Maybe you should get out of here. Maybe you need to travel?"
"Where to? It's the same everywhere. Every city is the same."
He looked at me, but he didn't say anything.
Hearing the noise on the ground floor, Yundoran took my hand and with his head proudly raised said, "Now, let us surprise them with our beauty."
When I looked at Sennhandd for the first time in three years, I suddenly had a desire to tell him all that I had been thinking about him all along. I was quite angry that he was standing in our house smiling.
