Chapter MYSTERY. PART THREE.
"No. He didn't tell me anything. He just smiled and the next day, he took me to your house."
"It's strange. Usually, he keeps creatures like you in his lab for a while, until they get used to this world and only then, they find masters."
“Masters?”
"I will not be your master. I can't do that."
"Then who am I to you and who are you to me?"
"Nobody. We just met, but soon our paths will diver us."
"Okinizeus?! Is that really you?"
Hearing this loud voice, I saw Yundoran at the far end of this dark street.
He shouldn't have seen me and the Wizard. For some reason, I wanted to hide this creature. And so, I grabbed this warm hand and ran forward as quickly as possible.
As it turned out, this creature ran very fast. And all because of the lack of lungs.
I looked back and noticed that Yundoran was nowhere to be found.
"Wait, stop."
But the Wizard kept running until I cried, "Stop!"
"You don't want to be seen."
"He's far behind. Now, we can go quietly."
"Does people always do that?"
"Do what?"
"They run away and don't want to be seen."
Suddenly, I was laughing. Having hardly stopped, I once again ventured into these wise eyes and said, "Let's go home. I'll take you to Sennhandd tomorrow morning."
When we got to the teleportation station, I said, "Probably teleportation doesn't work like it used to be."
"Do you want the teleport to work as before?"
Deciding to test the power of this Wizard, I replied, "Yes. That's what I want."
Closing its eyes, this creature suddenly froze and golden patterns in the form of a water cycle suddenly shone with silvery light, which gave way to golden.
I just couldn't take my eyes off this beautiful creature. And it was not that it could fulfill any desires. I didn't really need it. But what was the reason then, that my heart started beating so fast again that I could barely contain my smile.
Opening its eyes, the magician said earnestly, "Now, the teleport won't let you down."
Silently opening the door, I pressed the button, and we raced through the space in a matter of seconds.
"You don't have to fulfill my wishes," I said.
"Why?"
"Because I don't want you to be just a robot that does whatever they tell him to do."
"Then what do I do in this life?"
"Just live. But remember, you don't have any program. You are alive creature and you should develop yourself, learn and study this world. Listen only to your wishes."
"Listen to my wishes? Then, I'd like you to help me study everything and become a person," it said, and took a few steps forward. Not realizing that it was too close, this creature suddenly turned into the one who made time stop. And when we were in my room, it whispered, "Today was a very good day."
I knew that this night, I couldn't sleep again. But I did not know that with the appearance of this creature in my life, I will suddenly see a real miracle, which is extremely rare.
It was nighttime. There was silence in the house. I stood by the window, wondering what I should do next. And at the same time, remembering all those words from Shakespeare's play.
I was calm, I wasn't worried about anything.
But suddenly, just the second I decided what I would do next, at this very moment, the sky opened.
It was the real night sky, filled with millions of stars and most importantly, I saw the Moon. And this Moonlight gently touched the houses, competing with the lights of the city.
The moonlight so smoothly, gently, falling to the ground, reached my window.
Never before, have I seen such a color. Pale blue color with a mixture of shiny silver, this light, as if concealed millions of fairy tales.
I wanted to touch this light, I wanted to feel the coolness and freshness of the Moon.
My hand, my fingers, moving, trying to grab these rays, suddenly touched the long fingers of the creature that was standing beside me.
Suddenly, it seemed to me that, touching these warm fingers, this palm, I actually touch the Moon, the stars.
"I think I know your name," I whispered and said, as quietly as possible, "Your name is Moonlight."
Millions of stars blinking, reminded of what it means to dream and live. And among them, the Moon, like a queen, reminded everyone that the universe and all the beauty that is, still remembers the existence of people.
"Moonlight," the creature whispered and smiled.
"And promise me one thing, you will never perceive me as a master or someone who is much more developed and better than you. Promise me that you will live your life, you will follow your dreams and you will develop without listening to my opinion."
"I promise," Moonlight said and lightly touched my hand.
We stood and looked up at the sky. To the real sky. I suddenly wanted to take a picture of this rare phenomenon, but I did not want to look for a camera and in general, spoil this moment.
But Moonlight got ahead of me. Taking a picture, on an old camera, which was used in ancient centuries, it handed me a photo card, which was depicted I and a distant, silver moon and small dots that were stars.
I couldn't complain about the quality of the picture because, this photo was perfect. Real, sincere and kind. That was the reality I wanted to see.
"You promised me that you would not be my magician," I said, looking at the gleam of the creature's eyes.
"But it was also my wish. I love this look, and I want to remember this day forever."
Taking a few more pictures before the sky was hidden behind the cars, Moonlight said, "I want to get to know you better. I want to understand this world."
"I'll help you with that."
"But you have to promise," it said, having already learned to keep the conversation and make its demands.
"I'm listening."
"Promise me that you will never think that my life will last only five years."
I was very surprised by what I heard. And at the same time, I wanted to cry. Without noticing it, I fell to the floor and a few tears fell down my cheeks.
"Promise me this," it said and now this melodic voice sounded a little demanding.
"Yes. I promise," I said, trying to look strong. Although, my heart was already aching from what I have to go through.
