All too late for his love

Chapter 110

Chapter 110

"I know you don't believe me, Matthew. But even if you don't, I still have to say it. The three times I've approached you was all for Aaron's sake.

"The first time was to borrow money for Aaron's surgery. The second time-and even now, I've done it to fulfill Aaron's last wish.

"Matthew, I can swear it on Aaron's soul. I've never had any improper thoughts toward you. I swear that I'll suffer a life filled with misfortune if I ever liked you!

"If that's not enough for you, I can swear an oath to suffer a fate worse than death," she declared.

Matthew's pupils contracted. He detested this shameless woman. But for some reason, he felt an inexplicable sense of fear when she raised her chin and swore resolutely.

Feeling a sense of loss, it felt as if Matthew had been abandoned. His heart ached inexplicably.

The pain was so intense that it even dissipated the heat on his body caused by the drugs.

Matthew had always been calm and composed. However, he had no idea what came over him at that moment.

Words slipped out from him before it had gone through his head. It was as if he was unwilling to admit that Willow had never liked him.

"If you didn't like me, why would you have someone kidnap Willa? Wasn't it so you could clear the obstacles before you?" he questioned.

Willow's deep stare pierce through Matthew's soul. She couldn't understand-why had someone who used to be so wise been played for a fool by a woman with ill intentions? Matthew thought Willow was in the wrong when she remained silent. "Why, have you run out of excuses?" he asked. There was a cold look on his face.

"You're right. I've nothing left to say. Because none of you would believe me no matter what I say," Willow replied.

"But, I'll still say this even if no one believes me. I, Willow Sanford, have never done anything deplorable, nor have I ever harmed anyone. I have a clear conscience!" she declared.

"It's no longer important even if none of you believe me. I no longer need your trust, nor will I ever need it again in the future."

In truth, Matthew and Zayn were quite alike to an extent. Both of them were unable to distinguish right from wrong. They couldn't tell the good from the bad.

So, from now on, she would no longer waste her energy on them.

Turning around, she was about to leave the room that had left her humiliated when a voice rang out from the doorway.

Though a little childlike, the voice was filled with unwavering conviction.

"I believe you!"!

Willow raised her head suddenly only to see Kenan standing wearily by the door. There were traces of fatigue on his face. However, the bright smile on his face could melt even the coldest frost. Taking one step after another, he headed toward Willow in the light. Despite being empty-handed, there was still a fragrance of rose around him.

Walking toward Willow, Kenan held

her hands gently. "I believe you, m

Willow." The

und

tenderness and longing

in this voice made her heart

wrenched.

"Mr. Dawson..."

Willow's lips moved. Her eyes teared up in an instant..

She'd once thought that she had

been too saddened to shed any more tears. However, she found herself crying like a child when she was faced with the young man who had a heart big enough to tolerate it all.

"I'm back, Willow!"

Kenan ignored the varying gazes from the rest of the people in then room. With a tug, he'd pulled Willow into a tight embrace.
