Alkine Academy

Chapter Faron • 21

"We want our shipment back Patten!"

I feel like I'm in a fucking war zone!

All week there's been nothing but fighting. It seems like everyone has been pissed off at something or someone lately.

If it's not Cal at Jacis throat then it's me and my other two brothers against Cal.

Cal being the major denominator obviously.

I have no idea what the hell has gotten in to him but he's driving us all absolutely crazy. Always starting arguments. Him and Asher are barely even talking anymore. I just don't know what to do about any of it.

And now unfortunately here we all are, in Pattens so called office, demanding he return our stolen property immediately.

Another damn fight in the making.

Jaci is outside of the office talking with one of Pattens gang members while we are all discussing or rather arguing the dynamics. We didn't want her involved in any of this.

My eyes hardly ever leave Jacis location. Staring at her through the giant glass window having a conversation with a member name Grimace!

What kind of street name is Grimace anyway? It's ridiculous!

He seems to have eyes for her but apparently he's not the only one, I saw exactly how Patten was eyeing her earlier, he kept staring at her like he wanted to eat her up. The fucking asshole has some major guts to try an trespass on what is ours! He's already skating on thin ice with us already, any wrong move and we will definitely take his ass out, happily.

Maybe that's what we should be doing, after all, with all of this tension brewing in our family it would be a welcomed relief to release some of the tension we have festering in us out on him. It's not like he doesn't deserve it!

Patten stealing our gun shipment is just one major foul up too many, the guy is always wanting to stir up some kind of shit with us all the fucking time.

Maybe Ora just needs to cap his ass already, in fact, I would gladly welcome it at this point.

"Why don't we work up a deal cuz? You can exchange it for some Gas or some Christina Aguilera but chu ain't gettin it for free!"

"It's our fucking shipment Patten! Why would we trade for our own shit dumbass?" Ora screams at him, with his fist planted on Pattens desk, glaring down at the stupid fucker. "Do you want a war?"

"No I don't want a damn war but It's either that," Patten looks carefully out of the window, "or...you can offer your goomah up for the auction." Patten shrugs his shoulders, smirking at Ora like he holds all of the damn cards in this situation.

There's no fucking way Jaci is going up in any auction, especially not one that Patten is associated with, not if I can fucking help it!

"No!" All three of us scream out in unison.

All except Cal of course. My asshole of a brother just sits in the chair smirking devilishly, like there's some type of humor in all of this.

It's like the bastard is possessed with a damn demon or something.

"Your choice cuz! That is the only option. You want your guns or what cuz?" Patten eyes us all defiantly. I knew his ass was up to something. As soon as he saw Jaci the prick probably realized her value.

"I said no Patten! We will not put her up for the fucking auction!" Ora stands up straight, glaring daggers directly at Patten. "Just give us what is ours!"

A stand-off of the strongest.

"Do you want your metal or not? Is she worth the dough that you would lose if you don't put her in the auction?" Patten quirks a eyebrow at Ora. The guns are worth close to a million. Patten knows if Ora doesn't agree with his scheme, exactly how much money would be on the line. The asshole has him backed in a corner. He just played us and he knows it.

That damn auction has been nothing but a fucking travesty every since The Lone Shifters first started the moronic thing.

Auctioning off women to the highest bidder just for a weekend date with them. It's obscene!

Patten hosts it every year for what he claims to be fucking charity for the local five-o but we all know that it's nothing but a cover up for a simple and easy pay off.

Afterwards, he traffics the women from the auction that doesn't earn him the highest cash flow. If Jaci doesn't make a substantial amount Patten will try his best to sell her later or either keep her for himself. That shit is not going to happen! Not under my watch!

"Fine!" Ora agrees. What!?

"What the fuck Ora?" I have to agree with Asher. What the actual fuck is Ora even thinking?

"Just shut the fuck up Asher. I got this!" Ora grits through his teeth. Never taking his eyes off of Patten.

Patten flashes Ora a fucking giant greedy smile as he stands with his arm outstretched for a binding handshake. The handshake that will lead to nothing but trouble.

To my horror Ora actually shakes the assholes hand agreeing to Pattens stupid fucked up scheme. I can't believe it.

"Are you fucking crazy!" I ask him shockingly. Grabbing his forearm I turn him to me, searching his eyes for some sort of sign of stability.

"I got this!" Ora grits through his teeth once again. I don't know if I can trust that assumption. Ora has to be off his fucking rocker of he thinks he can even trust Patten! Let alone with our mate, it doesn't make sense.

But by the stern look in Oras eyes, I shut my mouth immediately, I hesitantly decide to trust him, hoping that he knows exactly what the fuck he's actually doing.

Turning my gaze away from his, I eye Jaci in the other room. She's still talking to that moron Grimace. How innocent she looks not even registering our inner conflicts for her.

Little does she know the exchange happening in the very next room. She's going to have thermal nuclear breakdown when we inform her of our dire situation.

"Give me the details!" Ora demands. Bringing my attention back to them. My brother better have an awfully good excuse for doing this. Otherwise I'm gonna rip him a new fucking asshole in a flash and would be more than happy to do it. If Jaci ends up getting hurt by any of this bullshit, there will be more than just a war coming. I will release hell on earth for all of them and be happy doing it.

"Just bring her pretty little ass here this Saturday and we will do the rest. I'll send over her outfit to your address for her to wear. Just be on time cuz. Got it?" Patten the fucktard cocks his head sideways waiting for Oras agreement. The asshole thinks he's won.

"Fine. Now gives us back our property!" Ora demands.

"Just pull your vehicles around the back and we will gladly load them up for you!" Patten sneakingly agrees sarcastically.

"Grimace!" Patten yells at him through his office door, diabolically smiling.

Grimace comes through the door with Jaci following behind him hesitantly, she looks directly at me. Her wondering eyes leave mine after a few seconds, searching the entire room with her brows furrowed.

Never in my life will I understand my brothers. How can they do the things that so effortlessly always end up hurting her is beyond comprehension.

"Escort these gentlemen to the rear of the building for a pick up!" Patten tells Grimace.

"Sure boss!" We all start to exit Pattens office but Patten beats us to his door first, standing in front of Jaci he smirks down at her. He runs his finger down her lower arm slowly, he devours her with his eyes. Seeing how forward he is only pisses me off even more. The jackass is working on my last damn nerve.

"See you Saturday goomah!" Patten steps around her in the doorway leaving Jaci staring back at all of us in pure confusion.

"Let's go I'll tell you later." Ora tells Jaci, we all leave, following behind them as they turn from the door exiting Pattens office, all of us pissed off at the outcome of this fucked up meeting. All except Cal, the fucker lingers behind all of us, I can hear his laughter behind me reminding me of a damn jackal.

If I didn't love him I would undoubtedly kill him without a second thought for his absurd and lewd behavior. I'm just not in the mood for his callous behavior.

"What the hell Ora? I am not going to be auctioned off on Saturday, have you completely lost your mind?" Jaci screams out hysterically at Ora after we arrived back at the manor.

Echoing my same exact thoughts I've been having all along.

Even my wolf is going crazy over Oras asinine behavior over Jaci and this plan of his.

I try to calm him down by assuring him that she will be alright but Samsons not one for listening when it comes to our mate. I need to go for a run very desperately the tension and the arguments are getting way too far out of hand for both of us to remotely handle.

"Come on Jaci come with me we can both use a little break." Grasping her tiny hand into mine, I gently pry her away from Ora and the others.

"Why are we here Faron?"

I ended up dragging to Jaci to the edge of the Alkine forest right behind the grounds of the Alkine Academy. It's the only place I can find peace and solace for me and my wolf to run carefree.

It has a very special meaning to me, it's the first location where I ever shifted into Samson meeting him for the first time under a giant sycamore tree.

I want to introduce my mate to him finally.

"I want you to meet someone. My wolf Samson." Her eyes widen but I don't give her a chance to reply.

Taking a few steps back away from Jaci I strip off my clothes in front of her slowly.

She eyes me suggestively, I give her a small wink then I begin to shift to my wolf swiftly.

There's no pain when I shift into Samson I've done it far to many times for it to effect me at this point.

When I finish shifting I look up at Jaci expectingly, wanting to see myself in her eyes and she doesn't disappoint me.

Jaci gasp out in pure fascination as she tentatively takes cautious steps toward Samson with her arm outstretched toward him, she gently rubs her fingers through his fur.

"You're absolutely beautiful Samson. It's so nice to meet you finally."

"Mate! Me love mate!" Samson wags his tail at her excitingly.

Lowering his head he bows down to her, placing his front two paws under his head, he whines out wanting her to accept him fully.

"You're so soft." Jaci says in wonderment. Clearly hypnotized by his amazing beauty.

Samson jumps up suddenly barking feverishly, nudging Jacis hand with his snout.

Angling his head trying to show her to climb onto the top of his back.

"Mate come?"

If I marked her she would already be able to communicate with him but unfortunately I've been to damn stubborn to do it with her. Foolishly wanting her full acceptance before I do.

I make a mental note to myself to mark her immediately. I don't want to wait any longer, she's ours and I need to show the world just that. Especially after what Patten is so desperately suggesting.

"I don't understand." Jaci whines out exasperated.

Samson nudges her leg with his snout this time, edging her closer to his side.

Jaci finally catches on after a second, she nimbly climbs on to his back. Gripping her dainty hands into his silver fur.

Samson barks out happily, grabbing our clothes from off of the snow covered ground with his mouth, we head off going into the a clearing of the forest, we delightfully take off running through the trees.

Dashing haphazardly between the foliage, Jaci yelps out gleefully. The wind is flowing all around us, we stiff leg jump bouncing on the forest floor making little snow flurries in the air with our paws.

Till we come to an opening with a small lake, we stop suddenly, looking all around, sniffing the air, the view is awe inspiring.

Jaci climbs off of Samsons back gingerly, staring out at the beautiful lake in bewilderment.

I shift back to my human form, when Jaci notices me her eyes widen suddenly at my nudity, gravitating to her, I trace my knuckles along her face feeling her soft supple skin.

Her beautiful blue eyes, blink up at me, I find myself lost in those sparkling orbs. Why can't my brothers just see exactly what I can see: pure angelic beauty.

Moving her head away from hand she bows it slightly, sighing, "Do you know what Saturday is?" She breathlessly whispers her question to me, when she raises her head, I can see the forlorn look on her striking face.

Saturday is the fucking auction but she has already has been informed of this, grabbing my clothes that Samson dropped on the ground earlier, I dress rather quickly.

I'm a bit confused about her previous question.

"It's the auction." I quip.

"No..I mean..yea..it is the day of the auction but it's also...my birthday." Feeling like a damn fool, my eyebrows quirk up instantly.

No. I had no idea that it was her birthday Saturday. What kind of mate am I? To forget such a special day in her life this way and now she's going to have to attend that stupid ass auction on her fucking birthday of all of the days. And I'm pretty sure none of my brothers realize it's her birthday either.

I just wish I could get her out of a Ora's and Pattens devilish schemes.

With her birthday landing on the same exact day as the auction it couldn't be more fucked up! Her damn day is going to be ruined now because of all of this bullshit!

"I'm so sorry Jaci. I have no idea what the hell Ora was even thinking. If I could, I swear to you, I would change it all for you." I look at her sympathetically.

"It's my first birthday without my parents. Why did Ora do it Faron? We were making such great progress lately. Then he goes and does something like this. Why is it so damn hard?" She seems so despondent. Her first birthday without her parents has to be very trying for her.

Without giving her a reply, I embrace her eagerly, with her head on my chest she starts to cry.

Her sadness is my own.

As I envelope her in my arms, grasping her tightly, I come to a sudden resolution.

This is it.

This is the last time I will ever allow anyone, including my brothers, to ever break her heart again.

The disputes between all of us has gone on long enough. It's time for all of them to grow the hell up!

Jaci is someone who should be treasured, more than diamonds or gold, or even fucking money.

She's worth far more than any of that shit and it's time that they all realize this.

One way or the other!
