The fire within him still raged.

But now, reason began to take controll

Elizabeth wouldn't let her plan slip away. She raised her voice. "I am Caroline. You want me, so don't hold back... Otherwise, your body will fail, and you won't be able to withstand it!"

Without hesitation, David answered, "Yes!"

A sharp pang of pain pierced Elizabeth's chest, but it was quickly replaced by bitterness and jealousy, her face twisting in fury.

Mr. Ellison really loves Caroline. Even now, all he thinks about is her, all he wants is her. Fine. Tonight, I'll become Mr. Ellison's woman. I refuse to believe he can't resist the drug's power!
