Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry)

Chapter Refusing 140

Chapter 140

Harry's wound was bandaged again. Before the doctor left, he checked on Julia before leaving.

Julia stood in the bathroom and wiped her wet hair with a towel. The servant's words rang in her ears. "Mr. Wright took Mrs. Wright for a walk because we told him that Mrs. Wright likes to walk in the garden after dinner."

Therefore, Harry only took her for a walk because she liked it. The doctor also said that Harry didn't like it.

Julia looked at her teary self in the mirror. Even though Harry said that he liked her, she still could not give him everything she had. She knew she had nothing, and Harry had no reason to lie.

She was not Arya, who was still useful to Harry. Julia was just an ordinary person. She wondered why Harry liked her.

She could not figure it out no matter what,

she dared not take the first step. Even though she was very clear about her

feelings for Harry, she still did not have the courage.

She was afraid she would realize that her blissful life was only a dream one day. She did not want hope to turn into disappointment, nor did she want to face disappointment while seeing hope. Moreover, she did not want to lose it after obtaining it. If there would be a day when she lost it, she would rather not have tried to have it in the first place.

It was hard to let go once one had it. Julia was not a saint or a person who could let go quickly. She feared losing it, so she did not dare to start casually.

She was indeed not a brave person.

Harry's voice came from outside the door. Julia quickly wiped the tears off her face. She was worried that Harry would see through her. She took a deep breath and opened the bathroom door.

"Why haven't you come out after staying there for so long?" Harry reached out and touched Julia's forehead. "Are you feeling unwell?"

"No, I'm fine." Julia took Harry's hand and walked to the bed. "You've taken what the doctor said before he left to heart, right? You should be careful after this incident."

Harry originally wanted to say he was fine when he saw Julia in low spirits, but after thinking about it, he knew she must be blaming herself. Especially when the doctor said that the wound had opened, Julia already knew that it must be because of her fall. Julia carefully took care of Harry. Suddenly, she said lightly, "Tell me about your past injuries."

"Huh?" Harry looked at Julia in confusion. "It's just trifles. There's no need to mention it again."

"I want to hear it. Tell me about it. I want to know more about your past." Julia looked at Harry expectantly. She could not participate in his past life, but now, she was eager to know what kind of life Harry led.

She wanted to know what kind of life would cause Harry to be injured so often and not cherish his body so much.

"I'll tell you next time." Harry did not want Julia to know about his life in the past. He was worried that Julia might be unable to take it if she knew, so he changed the topic. "You were a little distracted when you came back tonight. Do you have something to tell me?" Julia originally wanted to tell him about the business trip the day after tomorrow, but now that she saw that Harry was injured again, she did not want to. She also planned to ask Kathy for leave tomorrow and not participate in this business trip.

However, Julia did not expect Harry to sense that she had something to say. "It's just a small matter. We'll talk about it when

Julia covered Harry with a blanket and looked at him deeply. She turned around and lay down. She stared at Harry's newly bandaged wound and sighed.

The room was quiet and dark. Only the lightning and thunder were still going on. Lightning illuminated the room, and the thunder frightened Julia so much that she trembled. She subconsciously wrapped herself tightly in the blanket, but she was afraid that she would snatch Harry's blanket away. She could only constantly check if Harry had covered himself well. "Come here," Harry said in a deep voice.

Seeing that Julia was stunned and did not move, Harry moved his body closer to Julia. He reached out and hugged Julia. "This way, you won't be afraid."

"Your wound." Julia leaned against Harry's chest. She was still worried about touching Harry's wound.

Harry smiled and said, "You won't touch the wound."

Julia said okay in a low voice. Harry could not help but look down and ask again, "Are you sure you have nothing to tell me?"

"No. Go to sleep," Julia replied.

The next day, Julia had been sitting absent-mindedly in her seat Valerie had called her several times, but there was no response. Valerie had long heard Jessica say that Julia was withdrawing from the business trip this time. She looked at Julia worriedly, thinking she had a conflict with Harry.

When she went to the pantry, she heard Jessica and the others discussing softly.

"Didn't you notice Julia was distracted after leaving Ms. Powell's office? She must have quarreled with Harry. Otherwise, why would she look like she had fallen out of love?"

"Oh, a woman like Julia who relies on men is nothing once she leaves them. She only has everything because of Harry behind her. I've already said that Harry is only interested in her on a whim. How could he like her for real?"

"Men are fickle in affection. Changing women is like changing clothes for them. Have you ever seen men always like a piece of clothing? No matter how good the clothes are, they will be old one day. They can't compare to new clothes." Valerie held a glass of water and said, "Don't spout nonsense if you don't know anything. Can you read Harry and Julia's minds? Do you know everything? Do you think you don't need to be responsible for spreading rumors?" "Hey, since you're Julia's best friend, why don't you tell crisis?"

e why she's distracted? What is it if she's not in a relationship

"Julia is different from you. Her life isn't just about feelings. There are also other things. Do you think everyone's bad mood is related to relationships? Just because you're defended Julia.

"Perficial doesn't mean that Julia is also a superficial person." Valerie

"Well, if Julia isn't shallow, she wouldn't have married Harry. Isn't she marrying Harry because he's rich? She knows the relationship between Harry and Arya, yet she still wants to marry him. Isn't she just after Harry's money?" Valerie was so angry that she could not speak. Fortunately, Otis appeared and took Valerie away. She broke free from Otis's hand and wanted to argue with them, but Otis stopped her again

"I heard Julia doesn't want to go on the business trip this time, but Ms. Powell rejected it," said Otis.

Valerie nodded. She did not know why Julia suddenly did not go on this business trip. "Julia... Has she quarreled with Harry?"

Valerie said, "No, their relationship is good. It must be because of something else. Do you believe in rumors too? Julia and Harry have a close relationship. I saw it with my own eyes."

"In that case, I won't ask anymore. Go back and accompany Julia

Valeric nodded. When she returned to her seat from the pantry, long time. She had barely moved.
