Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier)

Chapter 211

Chapter 211

Kate fumbled with the time pearl buttons on Lily's blouse. They were small and slippery, and after several failed attempts, his frustration grew

He yanked at the collar, and the white pink bra beneath came into view. Lily Instinctively tilted her head back, her graceful, swan-like neck adding to the allure.

I–

His focus was entirely on her body, so consumed by desire that he barely registered what she had just said.

He instinctively replied, "I there's a child, then we'll keep it..

Those words hit Lily like a shockwave, rattling her to the core. They would keep the child? she wanted to crack open Xavier's head and figure out what he was thinking

In the quiet of the room, his voice was hoarse and deep. His features were shadowed by desire, and the veins on his neck pulsed, radiating raw masculinity.

soddenly, his phone vibrated relentlessly in his pocket. It was impossible to ignore as it pressed against both of them

Resting his forehead against her neck, Xavier steadied his breathing before answering the call. "This better be important..."

"Hello, Mr. Fulton. This is the emergency department at Jadeford Hospital, Dr. Blackwood had an accident during an experiment at home and has been rushed in for emergency treatment. We need you to come sign the surgery consent forms." Lily overheard every word of the phone call.

ver hesitated for a moment before glancing at the phone screen. After confirming that it was Rowan, he gritted his teeth.

"Is he going to die?"

"It surgery isn't performed, there's a risk of death... Dr. Blackwood, please remain still!"

After a brief period of chaos, the call ended.

Xavier tossed the phone aside and adjusted Lily's disheveled clothes.

Lily silently thanked Rowan for the timely interruption-she had been on the verge of confronting him head-on.

"I'll handle it," she said, clearing her throat and attempting to button up her blouse. But with so many buttons missing, it was impossible to fasten it properly.

Xavier climbed off her and tucked his shirt back into his pants. "There are a few of your nightgowns in the walk-in closet."

"I'll go with you," Lily replied without hesitation. "Dr. Blackwood is Hayden's primary doctor. His health is crucial to Hayden's condition. I need to see what happened and check if tonight's treatment will continue." She stood up, trying to gather her blouse, but it clung tightly to her, revealing be

revealing her figure no matter how much she fidgeted.

Suddenly, a black shirt was thrown toward her, and she instinctively caught it. Xavier had tossed her one of his shirts.

"Put it on. Later, go back and get your stuff."

Her stuff? Lily stared at him in surprise. What did he mean? Did he think he could just sleep with her whenever he wanted?

Did he think that after they shared another intimate moment, everything from the past would just vanish?

She wasn't sure if this was just how men were in general or if it was just Xavier's self-centeredness.

Nevertheless, she said nothing, simply slipping on his shirt, loosely buttoning a couple of buttons, and following him to the hospital.

She remained silent as it she had slipped back into the role of the meek, submissive wife she once was.

A look of satisfaction lasted in Xavier's eyes as he glanced at her. When they stopped at a traffic light, he gently placed his warm hand over hers.

Before Lily could fully react, her left hand was already entwined with his. His fingers were long and elegant white his palm was lightly callused. The veins on the back of his hand ran in a sensually prominent patter

She was lost in thought for a moment. She remembered the times she had sat in Xavier's car, often observing him when his hands rested casually, and how many times she had wanted to reach out and take his hand. But now, he was the one who had initiated it

Lily's clear eyes fell on his half-lit face, his high nose bridge and deep-set eyes. Even now, she thought he was incredibly handsome,
